Great machine for home computing. Great option for families who want a home PC that can be tucked-away on occasion. This is not a machine for easy transporting! It's large size and bulk make it very impractical as a true laptop. Instead, I'd call it a "luggable" that's suitable as a desktop…

Critical Review
In all, the Dell brand of laptop is a quality machine and has been one of the best on the market for a few years now. They do use cheaper parts in their computers to give the consumer a less-expensive product, but, in the competitive world of computer part manufacturing, most parts perform at about…

OOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOSH I FIRST WAS INTRODUCED TO THIS PRODUCT WHEN I WAS ATTENDING BETHUNE COOK-MAN COLLEGE IN 2005. I BEGGED MY PARENTS FOR A LAPTOP TO DO MY HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS AN THINGS OF THAT NATURE. WELL THEY GOT ME A DELL IT CAME WITH A PRINTER, SCANNER, AND COPIER. I WAS DELIGHTED UNTIL IT STOP WORKING SIX MONTHS LATER. I CALLED DELL AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY WARRANTY THAT I WAS PAYING FOR WAS ONLY GOOD TO COVER HARDWARE PROBLEMS NOT SOFTWARE PROBLEMS ........... WHATEVER THAT MEANS?..................SO BASICALLY THEY JIPPED ME OUT OF 1,500 DOLLARS THAT I AM STILL PAYING OFF TODAY…

Many features and works well. Issues with motherboard after one year, also problems with battery pack, and keyboard. Better get warantee if you buy this one. Otherwise, it is a pretty good laptop for the money. Image is good, and processor is fast. Overall, not bad, but keep the service on it forever. Pretty typical of…

Dell is hands down the best computer maker ever! I have an HP and a Gateway also, and they don't even compare. First of all, dell has the best customer support. You don't have to wait for hours on end, and you can get help on anything. The computers are durable and awesome! —…

i love this computer because of the screen size. Unforunately I am a bit illiterate when it comes to computer knowledge, but it allows me to get what I need done. — I used a desktop for so long and with that used windows xp. this uses windows vista and i am still in the process of figuring out all the intricacies. — the screen size is part of what i like. it is a 17 inch screen. the one downside to this is that it makes it difficult to carry it around. i have yet to find a trendy carrying case for it. the bulkiness of it also makes it difficult to carry…

Although the computer was big and was hard to transport from on place to another, it had very good graphics and prcessed information very fast. The battery life was also very short. it was also very easy to configure and the style was fantastic. best laptop i ever bought, although i wished it had more meory instead of the standard. The price is a lot, but in the end this laptop will save a lot of time and money for the user when used…

If you're looking for a true desktop replacement, and don't mind battery life or the weight being much less impressive than other laptops, then the e1705 is perfect for you. The screen size is perfect for almost any use, and with the upgraded graphic card you can't go wrong. — — As said, I'd recommend this for anyone that's looking to replace a desktop and would like a little portability. —…

Everyone is getting into the sub-$1,000 laptop game, even Sony. Traditionally, its VAIO laptops have been high in style and high in price. Now, the company sells not one but three different VAIO series that start at less than $1,000. Should you consider a low-end VAIO laptop, or stick with a company that has more experience turning out inexpensive laptops like Dell? In this photo gallery, I'll take a closer look at the design of the Sony VAIO NR160 and the Dell Inspiron 1420.
On the left, the Dell Inspiron 1420. Dell's 14-inch laptop starts at $699. On the right, the Sony VAIO NR160. Sony's…

You are reading now a review for the dell laptop E1705. — — This laptop is great. — — This laptop has a processor DUO from INTEL, this processor is like having two at once, and great for multitasking. — — This laptop has a 17" screen, which is perfect for watching a movie. — — The con about this laptop is the battery life, because of the large screen, — it uses more power, which shrinks the life out of the battery. — —…

This computer is very simple to use! Im not good with computers at all but this one was very easy for me to use I'd recommend it to anyone searching for a laptop. I bought this laptop for my daughter (she's a college student) and she loves it and uses it constantly in her everyday classes. She constantly tells me how much she enjoys it. I also recomended it to my sister for her daughter and son and she went out and bought one but kept it for…
