Did Dell take a step back on this model?

Although Dell products are usually good buys, there are a few things that bother me about this particular model....
1. Unless you check your email and play solitare ONLY, this laptop is going to run choppy, at best. The 1gb of RAM is simply not enough to run Vista, that is, unless you plan on staring at the screen all day.
2. 100 gb hard drive is well below the standard for todays laptops. And, with the cost of upgrading a laptop hard drive, its better just to get a larger one to begin with.
3. Unless you plan on having this power-hungry plugged into an AC outlet at all times, the battery will run down in the blink of an eye because of the 17" screen and the non-mobile processor.
My advice: spend a few extra dollars and get a machine that will perform up to what you would expect from a new, state-of-the-art laptop computer.
