I use dell laptop for 3 years in the internet

Great computer for the price

5

I have had this laptop for around 4 years and I have to say it has been the toughest and most reliable laptop ever for me than all the other fancy computers. I did have to do some upgrades along the way but the structure of the hardware lets you change things in it pretty easy and quick. Very bright monitor considering the age it has, and also it has had no problem taking the latest operating systems, software, and games. In the time I have had this machine for, I have not had any memory, CPY, graphics, HDD, etc. problems, and while at it, no crashing problems. I will have to mention that although its very durable, it also is heavier than other fancier laptops. So if you are thinking about dragging it around then you might want to think about this part. Other than that the best machine for the price. It will do anything you want it to do. ****

Good value if you hunt for discount deals

Hunted around online to find special deals and freebies when I purchased, so was an excellent value for all of the features I included.  If you're dilligent about it, you can get a lot of computer for your money.  Has been quite reliable, though does have a few minor quirks (screen sometimes blacks out after being closed).  Did have to have the motherboard replaced, but the service was VERY fast--I highly recommend using the online chat format for customer support--no interpreters needed and you've got a record of your conversation.  Computer is a great size--large enough that you don't have to squint to see the screen, but small enough that it fits comfortably into a backpack or briefcase and won't weigh you down while you're rushing to get somewhere.  Highly recommend the bigger battery as well, so you can get more functional hours away from an outlet.

A great notebook - above the bare bones but not too expensive

I have been very happy with my Dell Inspiron E1505 for almost 2 years now.  Although technology continues to advance, it still meets my needs.  It has been well used, since I am in a foreign country and it's functioning as my CD player and television in addition to my computer.  I agree with those who have said that the hinges are not the most sturdy, but as long as you handle it with care it is fine.  Windows XP has a few problems, but I wouldn't blame them on the laptop.  This computer has done everything I've asked it to do, and I'm happy with it.

I love my Dell

I have had my inspiron going on 2 and a half years now, and I have not had a single major problem with it. It is my first laptop, and it's going to be difficult for another one to match its dependability. I've never owned a desktop that took care of me like my laptop does. The only thing I can think of that might turn people off is its size. It's a bit heavy and cumbersome. It does fit in my Targus backpack though, and I don't have a problem carrying it around this way. It's worth it to me for the size of the screen and it's multimedia capabilities....oh, and I can run Sims 2 on it...which is a major plus for me!

High quality notebook from high quality company

5

I got this notebook for college from my parents. I had a choice of several brands, but I went with Dell because of past experience (my dad owns a Dell desktop that he's had for 7 years and it's still running great) as well as cost. I went with the E1505 because while it wasn't as fast as the E1705, it was cheaper and it was smaller/lighter (since I'm a college student I have to lug the notebook around the campus).A couple of not-so-good things to point out... While the E1505 looks great and sleek, after a bit of use it starts to look worn down. I've had this notebook for about 18 months, and the silver paint/coating has worn off in some places, scratches are noticeable on the cover, and the speakers are scratchy. Also, the hinges for the screen are flimsy and don't secure the screen so it can flip back and forth.Overall, however, this is a high-quality notebook which I expect to last through the rest of my college studies. Dell is one of the better computer manufacturers out there, and this notebook proves it.

Nice laptop for the money

Very nice laptop for the price.  Easy to use and fun.  The only problem I have is that the battery life is terrible.  In no time at all I had to replace my battery.  Besides that, it's a great laptop from Dell that I would recommend to anyone.

The Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook is a great every-day use pc.

The Dell Inspiron E1505 has been a nice laptop for school use.  It definitely has enough power to perform day-to-day tasks such as email, word processing, and spreadsheeting.  I have used it to convert CDs to MP3s for use with my MP3 player.  I have also encoded home video files and burned them to DVD.  The laptop performed surprisingly well in these task thanks to the Pentium Core Duo processor.  I have been happy with the performance of this laptop. As far as quality of the laptop, I would have to say it is middle of the road.  The shell is a little flimsy feeling, although it has never been a problem for me, even as I haul it around in a backpack full of books.  Another concern is the hinges.  They are a little too loose and have a lot of "play."  Others have reported the shell of the laptop cracking at the hinges, but I have not experienced this.Overall, this is a good performing laptop at a great price.  It is perfect for students and general home use.

I could not be happier with my E1505 Dell.

I work from my home office and I am also "on the road" with my E1505 for a week at a time with my laptop. I serves me well as my traveling office. I have never had a problem with it in any way. I use a GPS and a map program so it is my more than just my office away from home. Being away from home this often it does get some rough treatment but has held up very well. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for power, storage, speed and durability.

Inspiring. Such a user-friendly machine

This computer is very easy to use - responsive keys and touch pad and good screen quality.  Nice and light and easy to transport.  The primary drawbacks are the short battery life and the included programs, which are pretty out of date (why word perfect and not ms word?) Also, as a laptop, the underside gets quite hot, which can't be good for the lap....
