I used it mostly for email, music, photos and school work but I also just moved into the College of Communications so I've started using it for some graphic design work and it's performed great. I like the size because it's big enough to be able to read easily but small enough that it's easy to pack and travel with you in the car or on a plane. I didn't get the extended insurance and so far have not needed it. Our last Dell desktop at home is almost 8 years old and still going strong so I have a lot of faith in the brand. I would recommend a Dell to anyone.
