Well, I actually got this laptop kind of by "accident"....I was looking to get a laptop since I was working partly at home and partly in the office and wanted to be more mobile and have all my files in one place. I had not really gotten to look much, and had no idea what I actually wanted, but my husband's company gets a pretty decent Dell discount so I started there.
I went online and spec'd one out, but had some questions as far as certain options so ultimately we decided to go to the local mall and visit the Dell kiosk there. The employees there were pretty knowledgeable and friendly, and I was able to find out more about some of the things I had questions on.
I then found out that my company had a Dell account and got some discounts there as well, and they offered to order the computer for me and let me pay for the payments on the monthly plan, around $40/month, so naturally I decided I was getting a Dell. Unfortunately, when it was ordered for me, my boss decided I didn't need some of the options I chose, and I got a much plainer version than I had chosen.
Never having had a laptop before, I felt the need to have a docking station so I would be able to use a regular mouse insted of the finger rolling thing on the laptop - but I didn't get one. Now that I'm used to the one on the laptop, I actually don't mind it much at all, and I really thought it would be something I would absolutely hate, lol.
My only issue with the mouse in the laptop is that the scrolling never seems to work quite right. I have a lot of issues with it just running wild and scrolling all the way to the end of the page, and it won't stop no matter what I do. The other main issue I have had with this laptop is hibernation mode. It tends to give me fits coming out of hibernation mode, or just regular standby mode more often, the screen stays black and I wait and wait and eventually just have to turn it off and reboot. Annoying, but not a fatal flaw, lol
Customer service, just to mention it, is somewhere between non-existant and non-english speaking therefore useless. I had some issues literally straight out of the box, and customer service refused to speak to me because I didn't buy the full extended warranty that included customer service! No one seemed to care that I had actually owned the thing for 2 hours....they just didn't want to deal.
Overall it's ended up being a decent laptop, I have had it for about 10 months now, and no "major" issues, but a lot of small yet kind of annoying ones.
