My Dell Inpsiron has lasted me almost 3 years now, which is the longest I've had a laptop. Plus, it's been dropped a couple of times (I have 2 big dogs who have knocked it off the couch). I have never had a problem with this computer and how it operates. At times, it seems to perform a bit slowly, but that has only been more recently, and I have a lot of programs, pictures, music, etc. on it. Newer Dells are coming with a lot more storage space, so that should be less of a problem with a newer one. The only cons about it are that it seems to be maybe a tiny bit on the cheap-ish side just because the screen and its frame sort of have some tiny gaps in them (totally fine for me, I don't care except that I have a few dog hairs that have gotten behind the screen), and that it's not the sleekest, smallest computer. But again, for me, I don't care. I care that I was buying Toshibas and HPs and replacing them every 12 months. I care that this one has lasted me almost 3 years and is still going strong, and it was hundreds of dollars cheaper than most laptops despite having a battery that lasts significantly longer than others.
