I purchased the Dell Inspiron 545s desktop computer over a year ago when my other Dell desktop crashed. I love the sleak slim design of the Inspiron and it takes up alot less space. I can either have it stand up tall (towered) or it will lay flat. It all depends on the space you have available. It's got I got a few extras like the memory card reader and the DVD/CD drive. I was a little leary at first because it came with Windows Vista and I had been used to Windows XP. I could've got the Windows XP for an additional amount, but decided to try out Vista. I love the Windows Vista, the features are awesome and for any Windows XP user, very easy to adapt to Vista. My computer even came with the Windows 7 upgrade software, but I think I'll stick with Vista for awhile. I didn't purchase another monitor with it because my monitor was still great. I've only owned a Dell computer and I don't think I'll ever switch to another brand.

I bought this computer two years ago when my 10 yr old one died.  It's very fast and slim and pretty.  But we had one tiny little problem when it arrived and that is it would occassionally shut down for no reason.  Then there would be an error message saying something about the graphic driver failing to function correctly.  I'm not sure if this is a problem for this desktop or just mine but yeah, we didn't know what it was at first and we had to send it back to dell to get it fixed.  But the customer service was awesome and thank god we have two years warranty because my sister didn't feel like fixing it right away.  So anyway dell was awesome, they sent someone to replace the video driver, the harddrive, the memory, etc. and everything was right again.  It's too bad they couldn't narrow the problem down...when it's pretty obvious that it was video card that was causing problems but hey, I'm not going to complain.  Other than that, there has been no problem so far.

I am a grandmother and work full time. I've never owned a new computer; always one that was pieced together and handed down. I spoke with the salesperson at Dell told them I enjoyed listening to music and managed a small business and they took over from that point. I opened the box and was amazed at  the simplicity of setting up my Dell Inspiron 545s Desktop. She is slim, quick and clean; as well as very user friendly. I burn CD's like a pro, watch movies or write a Business Proposal. This Computer can handle all of it and make the user feel as if she REALLY knows what she is doing! Great Price the best money spent for me in November of 2009.

Our computer crashed, it was almost 10 years old and been upgraded too many times. Went out shopping for a new computer that was up to date, hold pictures and music files, but above all not have any lagging. I'm a PC user and when I seen the Dell Inspiron 545s I loved it. I tweeked things here and there, as the store customizes it for you, and bought it as a package deal. It included a 18.5" wide screen monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse, and 3 in 1 printer. I couldn't have asked for a better deal and/or computer! Everything is black and matches nicely. The tower has a nice sleek look to it and is noiseless, unless I'm burning something or it's reading a disk, then you can hear it loading. I have tons of pics and music files stored and it has yet to lag on me. I absolutely love it! Everything is completely user friendly, so you don't have to be a complete techie to figure it out. Most of it is plug n play, so that's a definite plus. I LOVE Windows 7... beats out Vista any day!!!!!
