My Hewlitt Packard Pavilion froze up on me, so it was immediately replaced with this Dell Inspiron 531 three days later.  The computer is so big and so powerful--2.90 GHz processor and 6.00 GB RAM, along with a 22 inch flat screen monitor, that I just do not know how to use all that stuff on it.  There is only one disc drive, but it handles movie and music downloads, where before, only one type of drive couple handle one type of disc.  This one does it all, and also has numerous drives that accommodate pretty much every kind of computer input device, with the exception of the floppy disk.  The...

When I first purchased my Inspiron 531 I thought I made a mistake due to so many people telling me that it was  a weak computer that couldn't do what I wanted it to do. I've been surprised with how good the computer has been for me. I can work with pictures on several downloaded programs and with reasonable speed. My computer skills are limited but the Inspiron 531 was a good choice. I'd recommend this computer for anyone who needs to work with pictures, use email services, and search the web.  The only problems I've had was with the installed drive that doesn't always work. I bought my Dell Inspiron 531 over 2 years ago and still love it.  This is the first computer I have owned that has not been in the shop for one reason or another.

I have always been computer challenged, however, I haven't had any problems with my PC.  I have the Dell Support on my Desktop and that has helped me immensely!
