I purchased the Inspiron 530 a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier!   I was able to get XP instead of the Vista and that made me extremely happy.  It works like a dre3am and it flies thru graphics and emails!   So many of my OLD programs won't work with Vista so this is just perfect for me!

I ordered a Dell with Windows XP on it and it crashed everytime I turned it on. I finally returned it with the promise they were going to build me another one that was not corrupted exactly as the one I ordered. Well, what I got was an Inspiron 530 (not what I had previously ordered) with Windows Vista...

I have owned a Dell computer for 10 years and would never buy another and when I bought this one a few weeks ago was ecstatic when it came with xp instead of vista.

I purchased my Dell online and received it on my front door step about a week and a half after I ordered it.  The first time I turned it on, everything worked great.  Then, it was all downhill from there.  After a restart, I was stuck on the Dell screen forever.  I tried rebooting and I could just hear the fan stopping and a "beep" sound coming from the tower.  Then the fun starts with calling technical support.  After going through the terrible voice prompt system, I finally got a live person (from India I'm guessing).  I told him what was wrong and then he was going to transfer me to... review »

I've been using PC computers longer than I care to mention, and I've had a wide variety of them: IBM, Compaq, home built, Dell, Matrix, and who knows what else.  The Dell Inspirion that I have now is one of the least cumbersome, complicated ones I've had.  It seems like they all have their proprietary ticks that make life miserable from the first time you turn them on until you figure out, or get used to, the ticks that come with that system.  My current Dell didn't have any of those and I'm so thankful!  I really like my computer!

We purchased out Dell this past summer.  It does a great job.  I am able to do every thing from home that I do in the office.  I can bring work home and do it in the evenings or on week-ends.  I enjoy being able to do my work, and not have to travel to the office.

We have Sudden Link internet service.  We purchased Microsoft Office with Word.

I have just purchased a new Dell Inspiron 530 computer. I am still finding all the great stuff that comes with it. Before I get ahead of myself I want to say that the website for choosing my new computer was so easy to navigate that I was able to build several different computers to spec and print them out and do serious comparison between the models and all the options. My new computer also arrived very quickly which was a huge help during the holiday season. So this is new Inspiron 530 is quite fast I am able to move at a brisk pace which I really appreciate. The tower is very modern and the... review »

A friend ordered the Dell Inspiron 530 Desktop Computer for me since my old one was a dinosaur. When I first started using it, it was wonderful not to be slowed down by an old computer. Love the Samsung widescreen. My previous computer actually caught on fire with no warning. Dell was a new area for me. I hesitated on Dell because of all the problems I had heard about, but my friend is a computer person and knew what she was doing.

I have had this computer two years now and it has progressively grown slower and given more problems than I can even list. I've had to wipe the hard drive twice and...

Here's my problem: I purchased this computer when I went away to college. You've probably noticed that Dell commercials center on students (at least, they used to). But the computer broke twice within one year - one time when it broke, the screen cracked; to be fair, that was probably something my roommate did. Maybe it was even something I did - all I know is that I looked at the computer one day and the screen was cracked on one side. I continued to use it (colleege student = no money), but the crack just got worse and spread. Eventually 1/4 of the screen was covered in this odd broken pixellation...

I like my compaq computer. I had had it for almost 3 years now. As my kids get older, they started to attach to computer too. So I decided to go and find another computer for me. I went to Walmart and get a very good computer. So I decided to go with the Dell Inpiron 530 Desktop. 640 G of hard drive, 3 G of memory, and a 22" Flat HD screen. Forturnately, it crashed when I came home from work. When ever I turn it on, window did not come on. After a few tries it will come on. But when I log off or turn off, window did not come on again. I decide to go and buy a new one to see if the new one will... review »

My wife's pc was rather old, and I couldn't upgrade it without replacing the motherboard and processor. I had decided to build a new system for her (for the third time). I'd spec'ed out all the hardware needed, and found the cost to be almost $1200 (quad core processor, 250Gb hard drive, 2Gb RAM, Windows XP). I decided that I'd check out Dell's site and see what they had to offer. I found the Inspiron 530 minitower (quad core processor, 500Gb hard drive, 3Gb Ram, 19" widescreen monitor, Windows XP with the Vista license) for $799. I could not pass that up. The total cost was $849, and shipping...

I had mine customized and was able to get everything I wanted in it for a great price. The customer service is Excellent!! Windows Vista had a few issues at first but when the internet was hooked up to it it could update itself and the quirks worked their way out. I did have to replace the hard drive about a month after using it but was able to bring it back up using the computer's recovery mode and was able to save my files to a disk. The resolution is great, the speakers are great, and overall its great for everyday office and home use!

Purchased an Inspiron 530 desktop machine and it's been great.  So far no problems whatsoever.  Able to use an on-line coupon from coupon mountain and saved a bundle.  Love the fact that Dell's website actually lets you built pretty much the exact machine you want and/or need.  You can upgrade to whatever specs work for you and your family.  We didn't get Vista but Windows XP Prof and we're so glad we did - no problems whatsoever!  A great machine!

I purchased my Dell inspirion 530 PC and Dell Photo 926 Printer on the phone and the gentleman was very helpful in helping me to decide which computer, monitor and printer that was most helpful to me.  Since acquiring the computer I have been very well satisfied with the performance and would recommend it to all my friends.  I owned a HP before and was on the phone all the time with technical support.  Dell has met all my expectations.
