The main reason I purchased this particular Dell Laptop was because I couldn't do everything I wanted on my netbook. With my laptop I can access non mobile sites that I needed to where ever I want to do it. I love the overall screen size but more than that, I like all of it's versatility. The speakers are Waves MaxxAudio and work incredibly well. They are not as loud as I would like them to be but I generally just listen to music while working so I don't need it to be extreme anyway. The My Dell Support Center is a life saver for me and it happens to be one of the greatest features on the laptop. I am not as computer literate as I would like to be in the area of programming and complex issues, viruses ect. but when I run into trouble, help is never far away. It really comes in handy for me, I have used it several times and each time, I have been impressed and thankful. The color resolution on the computer is a little above address but nothing to really brag about. I don't really like the resolution on the web cam however. Even when I ensure proper lighting, it seems like I just can't get the quality of images that I want and need - especially when I am trying to take photos to post to auction sites. This laptop is best suited for me when I need to access non mobile sites on the go or for watching movies online through a subscription service. I wouldn't recommend storing or downloading too much on it, it will slow down your computer to a crawl.

I've had this laptop since 2009 and it's been a pretty good laptop. It runs nicely still, not quite as fast as when it was brand new, but still better than a laptop that age usually runs. I have however had an issue with the hard drive crashing twice, not sure if that has anything to do with the computer itself or the manufacturer of the hard drive. It is easy to use and navigate, it is runnin on vista. The battery life was good about 4-6 hours, however the battery only lasted about a year and a half and was not covered under the warranty so it has to be plugged into the charger to work now. It has been a pretty durable laptop, it has gone through some of my teenage years and also through college and it still in pretty good shape. A few scratches here and there but nothing too horrible. Overall it has been good computer to own and has lasted far longer than many laptops I've seen

Well this laptop was an upgrade for us from a previous Dell laptop we owned. The new camera it has is nice, an upgrade form our previus which didn't have one. The software is super easy to use with the webcam and works well with SKype. Since we have family all over this was one of the primary functions we were looking for. It came with Vista which leaves a bit to be desired, but as far as an OS it is user friendly and files and pathways are pretty much in the same location a sour previous computer. The Vista changes seem very much to be more about functionality and the overall look of the OS. While it is quite a sleek model, easy to use, battery function has a longer life. Their customer service leaves quite a bit to be desired.

I recently purchase this laptop about a 1year ago the only problem I have with this laptop is the charger it self. I have not had any problems as of yet with my laptop, she is my baby. The battery life is not long it gives about an hour and a half of power but overall you can't go wrong for the price. If use for business i would add more memory to the laptop. I use this laptop mostly for school use but since window 7 is not compaitable with all softwares I am unable to do certain things until everyone is up to date with window 7. In addition to that I will be purchasing another one for my daugther who is in grade school. I know you are asking why DELL well let me just say this I bought a Hp mini  and a desktop and I have had numerous problems with both. Moreover the customer service is horrible so I rather stick with dell and where there customer service department acts like they care about the littlest thing. That is what I like the most about DELL. They can have my business anyday.

I've never owned a laptop computer until middle of 2009. It's worth the investiment because it's easy to transport and use in other locations like a library if you do not have Internet access. I'm a photographyer. It's also great to have along in your car while taking photographs, to download quickly. I recommend the Dell Studio 17" because it has the 10-key pad and it's a great sized screen.
