I bought this computer earlier this year. I love that it came in red. At first sight this is a nice laptop and then things start falling apart. The actual computer processor works great. The large screen is amazing. I love all the USB ports and the full size keyboard. It is very easy to use and is a great price. The first thing that happened was the enamel on the laptop chipped, this is after a month of owning it. Then the buttons starting popping off the keyboard. The AC adapter cord broke next and I had to replace that a a farily hefty price.The WiFi card has been a problem since the beginning as wewll but when it does work I can pick up signal from a great distance. Lastly,the hinges have become loose now. This laptop is not light at all. It is bulky and heavy. It is not meant to be carried away for quick access. The battery also doesnt seem to last long. Mine usually dies with 1.5-2 hours. I just dont feel that this computer is well made.

See dell is one of the most well known computer company's out there. And well when it comes to building laptops now that some to really look into. The dell inspiron 17 is a fast an very affordable laptop with great features, that has a very comfortable keyboard for those people who are constantly typing and and sending emails, especially those who are trying to keep in touch with family members across the seas. But there are some cons to this once so perfect laptop, see like all PC computers this will catch viruses if your not careful of what you download. And UPDATES, are a constant bother and the face that if i want the update to work you would have to restart the laptop,most of the time, and this can be a constant interruption to for when your downloading or uploading important data or software, But this is common to all PC's. Overall though this is a great computer for the casual computer person. And that is my review of the Dell inspiron 17 and yes i would recommend this device to anyone who is looking for a new laptop, thank you for reading.

The Dell inspiron is a great computer if your looking to search the internet, do your schoolwork, or even play a few games here and there. I am a student at university of houston and I use this laptop for my school needs. I have had no problems thus far (since the 4 months that I have purchased it) and would highly recommend this product to friends or family. The screen is nice and has a nice finish and is easy on the eyes. If your looking for a computer that offers good performance and multitasking, this is the computer you should consider to purchase. Also, I like the fact that this computer is small, not too large, and is easy to carry around. It is lightweight also so there is no problems carrying it around school or wherever I travel. The price is also considerably good for the computers performance and the quickness that it gives you when surfing the net or what have you. I would recommend this product.
