My Opinion on Dell

Comments about Dell Inspiron 1545 15.6-Inch Laptop:

This computer seems to work pretty great for the few months that I have owned it. The personalization process isn't as lengthy as I thought it would be. It is very much YOUR computer. The boot-up process is very quick. It doesn't seem to stall like other systems do. It ready to use seconds after it starts up. It is a little on the hefty side. The screen is pretty fantastic and the brightness on it is SUPER bright so you can really see the screen. It also goes off when you unplug it. The battery life is really strong for a laptop - we will see how well it lasts in a few more months. One thing I find that is pretty mediocre is the camera. It does not take great pictures at all in comparison to some of the other laptops I have used for that purpose. The video quality isn't all that bad however. The charger also isn't bulky so you so don't have a HUGE charger just laying around like a brick on the floor. I just do not like Windows 8 and it seems like all of these newer Dell computers have them. It isn't that big of an issue though because you can easily avoid some of the set-up they put on there that I assume are the "perks" of Windoes 8. I would definitely recommend this - it would work well for school/business. It seems built for that more than just leisure (which is what I use it for) although it has worked great for that as well. I definitely think it is a good buy.

Great for Everyday Use

Comments about Dell Inspiron 1545 15.6-Inch Laptop:

This laptop is really nice, especially if you're mainly using it for things like internet, music, Microsoft Office, etc. It has a widescreen which is great for watching videos and also great for having two windows side by side when you need to look at two things simultaneously. Comes with Windows 8, which takes a little getting used to, but other than that it's really great! Lightweight, easy to carry around. Great for college students and personal use.

Low price laptop and a low quality laptop as well !

Comments about Dell Inspiron 1545 15.6-Inch Laptop:

Dell is one of the most popular brand worldwide and a default choice for many shoppers but dell inspiron 1545 is one of the worst laptop. It is too slow, freezes often even slower with some advanced program.

Ease of Use
Powers up very slowly. There are some quirks with this machine changing screens if you swipe the mouse too fast. That gets annoying but that is the problem of windows 8.

Battery Life
Battery life is very poor. you have to plug in charger after every 2-3 hours of use.

Support & Service
In India, Dell is famous for its servicing and i found it true in my case. I contacted customer service, they told me that my windows has become corrupted and send me a dvd of windows 8 to solve my problem but this time i am not interested in installing windows 8.

Speed/Performance
very very slow notebook . It takes too much time to start and sometimes it would not start up in that case i have to push power up button again and again.

Design
design is okay. in fact performance matters not design.
