Seriously, Dell Inspiron 1521 was a big mistake. If you're thinking of buying this laptop off the internet-- (Ebay, Amazon, Dell Outlet) forget it, Unless you're thinking of using this labtop for...lets say not even 1.5 years. As the economy is getting worse by day, we need a labtop that works well and can endure through... at least 3 years. I have always loved Dell products.  I have had my laptop for 1 1/2 years and have found it to be consistent with the quality that Dell sells.

My husband and I are big proponents of "doing our homework" before purchasing our electronics and through much research we have found that Dell has a consistent with the reputation for producing and marketing quality electronic devices.  Overall, I am pleased with the speed of the laptop and the memory capabilities are excellent for my picture/video storage!

I bought my Dell laptop after I graduated from high school, and although it's served me well, there have been some issues with it. I have found dell customer service to be less than satisfactory. It's hard to get past the automated options and talk to a real person, and once you get to a real person, they are usually unhelpful. For instance, a year after I got my computer, my ethernet card stopped working. This dell laptop is very reliable. Everytime I log on and log off the process is very fast. I love the dell laptop because I can do pretty much anything I want to on this laptop. I got this computer when I was starting out in college online. I wasn't sure which one to get and was advised at Staples that this computer would work best for me. They were correct! I have not had any trouble with it and I have since graduated from college.. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have it. The only thing I do have to point out is where the buttons are for the playing of videos. It makes it hard to type with them located where they are and at first did have trouble typing because I kept hitting them. However, I have learned not to but still wish they were located somewhere...

I like my Dell Inspiron 1521, it works fine except that it's a little slow.  My battery died and new ones are a little pricey, so I just leave it  plugged in now. The touchpad was a little hard to get used to, so I use a mouse with mine. The original price was very affordable, but accessories for it seem a little too pricey for me.

I haven't had to use their customer service, so I don't know how good it is.

I would definitely recormmend it, it is very reliable.

I purchased a Dell inspiron 1521 and had nothing but problems with their Dell Financial and customer service. I was charged for items which I did not order and after 1 year I am still trying to get them to remove the charges.

Stay away from Dell at all cost !
