Dell Inspiron 1521 Laptop Review

Seriously, Dell Inspiron 1521 was a big mistake. If you're thinking of buying this laptop off the internet-- (Ebay, Amazon, Dell Outlet) forget it, Unless you're thinking of using this labtop for...lets say not even 1.5 years. As the economy is getting worse by day, we need a labtop that works well and can endure through... at least 3 years. (Considering the price and all the different other types you can choose from while prices drop)

I first fell in love with these labtops after the commercials-- of all the colors. I bought a Pink Dell inspiron 1521 immediately after a couple weeks. When it came, everyone loved it. I mean, labtop with style... there was color on it! And then my two older sisters were jealous and insisted on getting their own-- midnight red and yellow. We thought we got good deals. 3 labtops at 800 $ each. Something to showoff. yenno?

Then the problems started after half a year. My very own pink dell... I pressed the power button and nothing came out. I put it at an angle and saw dim pictures. I firgured the backlight or something broke. I thought... DELL-- GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE RIGHT? Get the phone and call customer service.. i got tranferred about 3 times by 3 india men (not to be racist) Seriously could not understand what they were saying... and ended up getting nothing.

And then... 2 of the 3 chargers broke. no idea why, apparently if you move it around in different locations, its bad. it just stopped charging. Called dell... sent us some battery that was way to small and at that moment we were at a wedding at hawaii.. so when we came back... and called in for a refund.. they said "sorry no refund. past the limited time for returns, nothing we could do." said another india men. 60 $ down the drain

Now my oldest sisters labtop, (yellow) screen totally fell apart-- and forget customer service, not going down that road again.

And then my other sisters labtop, (midnight red) is always on safemode because of no reason? SERIOUSLY.

Dell is off my list. For people out there, other than good shipping... i don't recommend this-- unless you have a lot of time and money. I hope this helps.

Go for a Mac or Hp.
