Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop Review

This is by far the very best laptop that I have ever used or owned.  I also have a Fujitsu Lifebook T1010 laptop/ tablet pc that ranks side by side with this one.  But moving forward with my Dell Inspiron 1520 review.  This is one amazing piece of machinery!!

I bought my 1520 back in September, 2007, about a year and a half ago, and it still works and loks as though it just came off the assembly line.  The only difference is that, being that I have had it for a time period, it is just freshly broken in.  There are no signs whatsoever of wear and tear.  It has stayed in excellent cosmetic condition al this time.

My 1520 has 4 gigs of DDR2 667 MHZ memory inside.  It also has an almost brand new 200 GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive installed, which I merely upgraded from a 5400 RPM hard drive.  Also, it has wireless n network card, AT&T mobile broadband card inside, a webcam and dual array mics built in.  It also sports an outstanding DVD burner, and the battery life is still exceptiona, even now after all this time.  But with all of that, the very best thing about this laptop, that also makes it stand out among all others, is that my particular 1520 has the unsurpassed, reviews-raving NVIDIA 8600M 256 MB dedicated graphics card.  This graphics card has gotten screaming reviews.  Even now with the high-tech, high-priced gaming laptops coming out and sporting faster graphics cards, none of them have gotten the wonderful reviews that the NVIDIA 8600M one has gotten.  Most of the faster ones also suck energy and ram from the pc that they are in, but the 8600m graphics card that came inside my 1520 is perfect.  It does not suck out tons of memory and energy that tha other ones do.  And that is what makes my Inspiron 1520 such an outstanding performance laptop.  Thie Dell Inspiron 1520 is a little bit on the heavier side that most, that still is not and should not be an issue.  For me, when equipment are a little heavier than its competitors' equipment, it just means that the heavier equipment is built at a higher quality, used higher quality parts, and is built solid and sturdy.  And this happens to be so true when you are considering the Dell Inspiron 1520.

To sum this up, I very strongly and highly recommend this model laptop with these specs.  Even today, even though it is no longer advertised on Dell's site, if you should be lucky enough to locate one in Dell's Outlet Store or find one in Ebay, I urge you to make that purchase.  Thanks for reading this review.  Now, go out and find you that wonderful Inspiron 1520 that your heart, especially after reading my review here, so eagerly desires.  You know you wanna, now go get it!  Thanks again!
