Dell Inspiron 1501, Turion X2 TL-60 (2.0GHz) 1GB DDR2, 9-cell Battery, Vista Home Premium, IGP 256MB... PC Notebook Review

So I've had the chance to try out the Inspiron 1501 from Dell and I must say that I'm both positive and negative about it.

Positive:

- Strong and resistant (a nice look, too): you won't have to be worry about breaking the screen in half or losing pieces of the integrated keyboard.

-Clear and bright screen: perfect for casual work (internet, e-mails, instant messaging).

-Nice online support: Dell is known for his excellent technical support in case you have any problems.

- His dual-core make it more comfortable when you have to open several applications (Office, web browser, instant messaging,etc.)

Negative:

- Overheat: yes, the heat it produces is like hell. I would recommend you to buy a cooling pad or something.

- The battery doesn't last very long unless you reduce the brightness of the screen and do not use applications that need too much power.

- Very bad for video games: you won't be able to play for more than 60 minutes since it automatically shutdown due to the massive heat it produces while playing video games. In my opinion, I think the video card is the biggest problem in this case.

So in conclusion, if you plan to buy this computer, be sure that it is only for casual works and NO video games please unless you have a cooling pad.
