This is an ok computer, the duo core option is very fast, but the Windows Vista is a product I have yet to adore.  It was caused many problems with the programs on the computer as well as the computer itself. The McAfee product has failed to work, as well as the internet explorer.  Several downloaded programs and program updates will not work.

 This machine is fast, dependable and worthy of the Dell name. It has a hard drive large enough to store all the normal computer user will need for years. There is a large amount ram which coupled with the dual core processor gives you speed with no lag time. Add to that great Dell service. I couldn't be more pleased.

My husband got this as a mid-level gaming computer several years ago.   It came with Vista, and we upgraded it to windows 7 ultimate-- nearly trouble free.   It hasn't needed any parts replaced thus far, although we did upgrade the video card and install an extra disk to make more room, as well as upgrading the RAM.  I was a bit worried, since I had never worked on an at home computer, but it was simple as can be-- the side pops off almost one handed, and there's lots of room to fiddle around hooking things up.    Has very good air flow, but the mesh inside of the front opening will need regular cleaning if you have pets.  That hole is also very tempting for toddlers-- watch out for anyone trying to feed your computer with gooshy foods.   Sometimes is a bit noisy with the fan running up or slowing down.   Good idea to blow out the inside about once a month-- I've never had issues with it, but dust does collect rather heavily inside, and the bunnies get solid.

When my old computer broke, I went computer shopping for a new one from another brand; I was not satisfied with the last one of course. So I went to Dell and looked at some PC's they had. I thought this one looked good so I purchased it, and I was not disappointed. This PC is amazing. It already outlasted my old computer by years and is still running right now. It's processor is a little old for the world of today, but back when I bought it , it was one of the fastest models, even for everyday computing. It comes with PCI and PCI-E slots for extensions like graphics cards and sound cards. I am slightly disappointed that the power supply is a bit weak for today's new extensions, and that it needs more PCI and PCI-E slots since it has very little, but it still is functional and can be upgraded. It's USB ports are easy to find on the back and front of the computer and comes with 2 sets of audio jacks . It is however hard to open up sometimes, and the slot cover release for the PCI cards jam from time to time. It's cost efficient and quieter than some other computers when it's new. Overall, I love this computer and I would totally recommend it to someone else.

I've dealt with many computers in my life but the acer takes the cake.  its a sleek, slim model.  the cd port is hidden and so is the power switch.  you would not even think this was a computer if not for the screen and type pad near it.  its light-weight and goes fast.  The Acer Dimension E520 desktop computer is above the rest.  Even my kids under the age of 5 are having fun learning how to use the computer and mouse pad.  It beats Compaq and Dell 100 percent. If there ever was a desktop to go and buy I would have to choose Acer.

We ordered our dell dimesion e520 over the phone and talked with customer service to make sure we got what we wanted. They were very nice and helpful. The computer is nice and comes with a nice flat screen monitor which I love. It has a cd player,burner,and dvd player on it. You can easily save all your files and pictures and it loads things pretty quick. We have had too take it in twice though since we have had one for the Cd ram not working,a local company fixed it and then once for the computer not coming on at all,we got hit with some virus I think so please make sure you have good virus protection when using it because it gets viruses pretty easy if not. I like the color it's the classic black and silver colors which is nice cause it looks modern and goes with anything. It came with windows XP and loaded with some stuff but had to load stuff off some discs for some of it. I am happy with the computer it gets me through the internet is all I basicly do and this one does that so I like it alright.

I am sorry to say but this computer is not what I had expected. I realize that you get what you pay for, I wish I had researched a little more before I bought it.  The performance for real basic things is very good but as you learn and do more mine had  tendecy to crash alot. For the first year I had great customer service but after that they wanted ungodly prices to keep the service. It was frustrating because when you did get help half the time you couldn't understand the agent. I bought a Dell Spirion Laptop thinking that it was just Dell Dimension E520, but to my surprise it wasn't, I returned it. It seemed to that the agents really didn't care if they gave you the help or not. All in all my experiences with Dell has not been good and they don't really seem to care. PLEASE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Dell Dimension E520 is a good buy.  Pentium D proccesor, and 4 GB of Memory makes it a good investment.  Good Graphics.  Good case design and really quite as well.  If you're looking to buy your first desktop computer this would be your best choice.  For all the simple tasks like email, word processing, listening to music and surfing the internet.  Best of all, I think that when it comes to basic multitasking this machine is an excellent choice. And you have all the inputs of course for your microphone, headphone and usb devices as well. Im thinking about al the things I want to say about this machine, but I think i've touched on all the basics and essentials.  As far as software is concerned, well I wasnt too impressed about that, so I think as to respects that they could probably do better.  I think it's worth your time and money if you've never owned a desktop before. And Dell has the service tag and express service code which makes life alot easier when trying to get technical support.

Wow i dunt even know what i would do without my computer it runs so good Ive had it for over 6 years and no trouble what so ever it's the best. The computer has 4 usb ports,dvd player, cd player. Also the computer is a flat screen 19inches. The reason i love this computer so much is becuase it has windows vista which is the best. Never freezes i have tons of programs installed on it including JAsc Paint Shop Pro 8,Animation Shop 3, iTunes,Limewire,Windows Live Messenger,Adobe,Quicktime,Roxio,Aim,Yahoo Instant Messenger,Windows Media Player,Microsoft Office Tools,Advanced System Optimizer,AVG free 8.5,Mozilla Firefox,Internet Explorer most of these programs came installed with the computer.And when i go on the internet its fantastic when i visit websites like youtube and etc. the videos are clear as day.Also my internet connection is reallly fast.I just hope thinks hepls you i really love my computter and if you get one you'll love it too.
