I had another brand name computer before my Dell and I was allways having trouble with it . The motherboards they put in these stink, I had 2 in 2 years.

I had this computer for under 3 years. With in the 2 1/2 years I had it. I had my motherboard, my power supply, and my hard drive stop working. I called dell. They sent a guy to replace all of it. Which to me you would think sending a whole new tower would be cheaper. This was only when it was about... review »

i had the dell for about 6 months and the damn thing crashed so many time i lost count of it and then when i got it up and running again it finally crashed so bad that the mother board took a shit on me

Have had our Dell Dimension 3000 computer for almost 6 years now and its still going great. Love the Dell brand and would not trade it for anything else.  Sometimes its a bit slow, but very user friendly.  It was our first ever desktop computer and chose it due to others opinions. Very glad we did.  We upgraded to a flat screen monitor and better speaker system...wow what a difference.  Great sound quality and large monitor. Watch movies on it all the time. I dont know everything there is about computers, so when it came time to picking out one, like I said it was based on opinions from other...

Find another computer.
picking up after pets

I was so excited when we ordered our Dell. That excitement ended after the first three months when I realized how much less I got in the package then my last computer. The constant freezing up and error messages is frustrating. For the amount of memory I purchased I should be able to get through one PC game without it shutting down for lack of virtual memory or script error. Don't even get me started on tech support or their customer service.

If I am ordering a computer and the picture says that it includes everything shown, then why would they argue with me that it did not include the monitor...

Its easy to use and runs alright.But the tech support sucks.They wanted me to open the tower and pull a plug to see if it would start working again.The computer was less then a year old so the in home service was still good.They said that once I helped them find out what was wrong then they could order the part and send a tech guy out.Never will i own a dell again.How can they expect someone who has no idea what one wire from the other looks like do thier work.

This computer was the best bargain at the time where I needed a new computer -- I had a dell before and it lasted a good 5 years -- it was still running but I needed too many upgrades so I got another dell -- their customer service department is just awful -- but luckily I haven't needed them much!  I also liked that you can customize the system to suit your needs...

the husband and i wanted a computerand we have had a couple and had problems with them so he bought a dell right from the dell company and we have had it for four years and really enjoy it alot,myself iam wanting a laptop and iam very sure its going to be dell as well.thank you eva

I would recommend this computer to anyone who wants a family computer but not too high tech.  The price is very acceptable and still supports rip and burn features.
