My Dell Dimension 2400 is my third computer and has made me a confirmed Dell fan. The computer was relatively inexpensive, top of the line the year I bought it (I've had it for a few years now) and has been utterly reliable.

This computer came with XP installed on it and had all the usual software tha...

While using my Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop Computer I found it did everything i wanted it to do right out of the box? I was amazed at how well it handled Microsoft Windowns XP Professional. This Computer seems perfect for any home user. Although the gaming on it was not the best that it could have been most games were atleast playable. Now the new high end graphical games dont play as well as they would on the new computers older DELLS are nothing like the newer computers that are being used today.

I have had this Dell Dimension 2400 for about 6 years. The only thing I had to do to it was to add more memory, and that was extremely easy. Everything I try to do with it, it seems to handle easily. I was told by online friends that Dell was not too reputable, to them, because they had heard horror stories about friends and neighbors losing all of their info. This computer, knock on wood, has never crashed on me.  My son uses it for playing games and chatting, and he hasnt had any problems with it, either. It burns CD's easily, plays games, and pretty much can handle whatever you want it to...

Here's the thing you need to know about me right off the bat; I am a mac fanatic. Now, I understand the price of most mac computers is way out of some people's range. Here is what I have to say to you...

If you have a family or you're a student and an internet junkie, or perhaps you need to transfer all your personal files to a computer, then get a Dell. It's the the office computer for your personal needs along with the capacity to goof off. Advantage: no boss!

Most Dell desktop computers come with plenty of space and speed to satisfy even some of the pickiest of amateur techies. If you love...

My last two computers have been Dell that I have ordered on line through Dell.  I was very happy how I could add the hardware and software features that I wanted.  The computer was easy to set up and easy to transfer data from one computer to the next.  I needed more usb ports on the computer as I had to add a hub and I wish the computer would come with more ports.  The keyboard was easy to use and i like the number pad on the right.  I wish I would have ordered a wireless mouse as the way I have to set up my computer the cord on the mouse isn't long enough.  Dell tech support has been great...

I've owned a few different computers in my time and this Dell Dimension 2400 is perfect for me to surf the web, download, burn or play anything I want.  Of course I did upgrade the standard 512 mb of ram to 1 gb of ram.  I also upgraded to a slightly better graphics card to allow better gaming.  I also added another internal 80 gb hard drive to allow more space for music and gaming.  All together, I only spent an additional $100 in upgrades to make this computer a lot faster and bigger.  I purchased it used for $50 but had it checked out (prior to payment) for viruses, etc. This system was,...

My Dell computer is perfect for a computer challenged user like me. I have had a major virus and been hacked, but we (my Dell and I) have overcome and we are still up and running. I am a great-grandma with children and grandchildren spread around the country so I do a lot of emailing. I am also PR director for an all volunteer organization called Silent Santa, so all year I am doing massive word processing projects which I could not do without my user fiendly Dell PC. While my Dell is over four years old, which some consider obsolete, it has been well used and is still cranking out my letters,...

I bought this computer in 2004 and it has been good to me, but it is time to upgrade the entire computer. I tried to upgrade the processor, but was unsuccessful. I did upgrade the RAM from 256 kb to 1 gb. I would not recommend upgrading a computer. The computer gave no noticable increase in speed. I have decided to purchase my 4th pc since 1995...Yes I have been at computers since the Windows 3 era. That is the era that required a few lines to save a file, open a file, etc. I am upgrading this computer to the HP Touchsmart all-in-one. Even Dell has upgraded this category of computers. The dimension...

I started having problems with this computer right before the warranty was up, like days before, but I was too busy and missed my last day to call Dell to complain.

When the warranty is up, so is the customer support.  They basically told me "Better luck next time."  I went back to HP!!!!!!!  Dell probably should have never entered the personal PC arena and stuck to their business systems;  apparently they don't crash too much.

The local library had 5 computers like mine and now they only have 3.  The head librarian said that she had the same problems as I did and no better luck with customer...

Dell Dimension 2400

The Dell Dimension 2400 is a good PC for people who want to use it for basic things like checking your e-mail, social networking, watching a video here or there, or listening to music. What the Dell Dimension 2400 lacks is its Graphics Power, it comes with a very cheap Graphics card where you can only choose from two resolutions. IT IS NOT EASILY UPGRADEABLE!!! The Motherboard featured on this PC is very aged and will not allow for newer video cards, or processors.

This PC would not be good for running any other operating system other then Windows XP, because of its lack up...

Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop Computer.  It seems to be alittle slow, and it crashes quit a bit.  I like it at first.  But I would like get a laptop from Microsoft windows.  As they say on TV, that if you find what you want it's your to keep.   And on the TV, they show the customer at the store looking for a computer.  And when they find it, and take it to the register to check out.  And when they get there, then someone hands them money.  But you don't see who hands them the money.

Which according what I can tell from the TV commercial. You are getting the laptop for free.   I hope that...

The best computer in the market i a DELL, unfortunately I picked the Dimension 2400 (only my first mistake).  I bought the system from a rent to own place (second mistake) and with doing that when you call customer service with a problem you, are directed to a "different" customer service.  I was told that the system I was purchasing had Microsoft Office, I though that included Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.  It turns out that I actually had Wordperfect 11.  You have a Wordpad Not Microsoft word.  I have had to wipe out the entire system and reinstall my programs several times.

I received this computer back in 2004 as a gift. Back then the operating system was Windows XP. I have been unable to upgrade this to Vista or the new Windows 7, but considering all that, this computer still runs very good. Again back then this computer, would of been considered a fast unit. Today, not as fast but increasing the memory and a few other tweeks here and there and it's still good to go. I use this computer now as a back up, but still use it at least 1-2 times a week for other things, my laptop can't do.

I've always been a Dell fan. I love there products and the company support is first...

This is regarding a Dell Demention 2400 PC.  In order to play some games, I have had to remove all my Window Office programs, and keep little in any added folders, and no printer in order to keep 15-20% free space available.  I have only one game on this Dell and even though it is defraged at least once a week there is still lag on the game.
