I have a Dell E521 Dimension Desktop computer that I got in November of 2006. I had a Dell before this computer and I really just wanted to upgrade a bit. I gave my brother my old Dell when I got this one.
It was fairly easy to set up this Dell, it probably only too me about 20 minutes or so. Most of that time was spent taking the computer out of the box that it had arrived in and just a few minutes was spent plugging in cables and cords. I was actually surprised at how eay it was to set up. It probably helped that I had allready had a Dell PC.
The only real problem that I have had was when I tried to play a CD or DVD and the computer wouldn't cooperate with me. I called Dell and I did have to arrange for a technician to replace the drive. Luckily, it was covered under the warranty. The person from Dell ordered the replacement part and within a week they came to my house and replaced the CD-RW/DVD Combo drive so that I could play CDs and DVDs again. I was told that this problem occurs sometimes when the computers are moving around during shipment.
Most recently I bought 1GB of extra memory for my Dell. I think I needed the extra memory because pictures of my one-year old niece are taking up some of computer's memory. I also have a jump drive to try to prevent too much memory from being used up in the future.
I really love my Dell Dimesnsion E521 and I would recommend it highly. I would definitely buy another Dell in the future. They really are great computers.
