I grew up in a family where we planted and harvested our own veggies. Yep, and fresh corn was the way of it. We harvested and 'home' canned, and froze veggies for the rest of the year. This brand, of all the brands, comes closest to it. Yep, now living closer to the city, where I cannot plant a garden, well, a couple of planters on the patio does have tomatoes and green peppers or such, but, nope, no corn.
I find all of the Del Monte veggies a little bit sweeter than the the other brands. Now ours from home was grown that way, all natural, no "adds" to the soil. I do have to admit that I have tried most of 'all' of the brands in the stores I shop in, including the frozen ones. Well, I need a bit of space in the freezer at times, but that's not why I get this brand of corn in the can. It's truly good, and not all that salty at all. Good show Del Monte!
