My mother saw the Green Bags on TV and really wanted some for her bananas...so...after much cearching I found them at the local Walgreens As Seen on TV aisle.
We split the bags between us and both decided to try them. My mother used hers for fresh fruits (pears, bananas, tomatoes) while I wanted mine specifically to preserve my salad mixure (iceburg lettuce, kale, carrots).
The bags seemed to make NO difference in the longevity of the fruits at all. In fact...my mother claims her bananas stayed yellow...but seemed to ripen on the inside just as fast. I can't say as the salad experiment went any better. My first batch seemed to brown within days...and attributing that to WalMart produce...I tried it again with fresh market stuff. The green bags seemed to help preserve the carrots for quite some time...but the lettuce still browned rather quickly.
In short...not worth your hard earned money.
