I have used many Drills. I have used Makita, Milwaukee, & Others and Dewalt has been the most powerful and reliable drill I have ever used or owned. This drill has many different settings and there is no job I cant do. I have built everything from a barn for the horses and goats to a dog house, I have used it to hang pictures, shelves, & Decor as well as assembling Bookshelves, My kids toys, & So many other projects. Dewalt also has a 36v Drill that I have owned & Used and as it may be good for a few projects that I have done the 18v is much better because it is powerful enough to get the job done...
review »The Dewalt 18v DC927 is an excellent specimen of a drill. This amazing heavy duty cordless drill holds up through the entire day of tireless construction work, eating through concrete, wood and metal with ease. The drill can come with two rechargeable batteries that last an extremely long time under tough conditions. The case that comes with is exceptionally strong and suitable for the roughest applications. It holds 3 batteries, the drill and the battery charger along with a large assortment of bits. The only noticeable con to this hefty drill is its weight, It can tire your arm fairly quickly...
review »I have had this DeWalt drill for about 10 years now and it has consistently proven to be a work horse. I have used it on the job for about 8 years and the last two here at home. One of the two batteries finally gave out and it was eazy to get another replacement from my local Home Depot. They carried this brand and I really like this drill. I have had two others and they did not last or preform as well at the DeWalt. I would recomend this drill for construction workers and the ordinary guy at home.
The DeWalt DeWalt 18V DC927 doesn't hold a charge even long enough to work for 2 hours. Needs to have an EXTENDED LIFE BATTERY.
