DePaul University —

I've attended DePaul University since the early 90's.  Everytime I thought I was finished they came out with another degree.  My thought was why get certified it  only last a year, two, etc.  When you can get a diploma instead.  Transfering credits from departments within the school was no problem. Everyone was courtious and at times thought I was a bit nuts .  The way I see it,  though I spent a few thousand more.  I will have a diploma that will last a lifetime. As opposed to a certificate or something that will expire.

Benefits:

  • You have the option of taking a course online or on campus. It doesn't matter if you do one or the other. You can even do both during the same semester.
  • The online program is fantastic.  The classes are recorded and you can play them back on line and few all the notes the teacher wrote on the board.
  • Independent school.  There is no hand holding but at the time you enter college do you really need it.
  • Everything is online get it when you need it.

Disadvantages:

  • A bit expensive.
  • If you wait too long to take a class you need for graduation, you may have to subsititute another class or wait until its offered again. Which can sometimes be up to a year.
  • Large university.
