With this bat, you get two very important things...

1. DeMarini quality. They've been making bats since dinosaurs roamed the earth and, have patents and technologies that are above alot of its competitors!

2. Solid Barrel. If you want to see a ball leap off a bat, then watch a youngster swing this one! It gives more than the player puts into it.

There are, however, a couple of things about this bat that make it fairly average, in my opinion...

The weight distribution. Some bats are constructed so that it makes a swing virtually effortless. This DeMarini lacks in this category. Compared to some of the competitors such as Easton and Louisville Slugger (at same length & weight), it takes a little away from the batter's hand speed quickness.

Although the barrel is very solid, its sweet spot is limited when compared to those 2 brands listed above. As long as your hitter is aware of the sweet spot and has adapted, this is not that big of a deal. But, for the average batter, this can pose more of a problem, causing more grounders than line-drive shots for a single/double.

For my son, I'd rather go ahead and spend the extra $40 bucks and get a Louisville Slugger Omaha bat or and Easton Stealth. We've been through alot of bats and these PRODUCE!!

oh, and he's been to all-stars 4 years in a row and played every minute of every game!
