I love the DeLonghi Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Machine. It is so simple to make either one and have a delicious, fresh coffee to enjoy or offer to your guests. This is great for everyday use of for entertaining and guests love it! You can make them a fresh coffee right in front of them. Its a beautiful, attractive machine and easy to catch on how to work it. The coffee tastes depend on the coffee you use, but all the ones I have tried have come out delicious. It was a great purchase and we are really happy and satisfied with it. Brew Performance Nice brew to perfection. Ease of Cleaning Simple, and pretty quick to clean and leave shining. Ease of Use Simple to use. The instructions give you the jist of everything and its easy from there. Design The design is very beautiful and impressive. Its modern, attractive and fun to use. Durability We have not had ours long, but we take care of our appliances. I am sure we won't have a problem with durability.

This machine changed my life! It makes delicious, creamy espresso with no bitter or sourness. It's easy to use and gives you cafe quality espresso. Brew Performance It delivers frothy, creamy espresso no matter what type of beans you use or how fine or coarse you grind them. Ease of Cleaning The drip tray at the bottom slides out, making it easy to clean without making a mess. The water holder comes out also, allowing you to clean it out and fill it up without making a mess. Ease of Use Single and double portafilter make it easy to tell how much espresso grounds are needed for one espresso or two. The green light tells you when it is ready to go, to make espresso or steam milk. The steam wand on the side is not complicated to use, and does a decent job of frothing milk. Design The design is simple, making it easy to use, while allowing the best quality espresso to be brewed. Even an espresso amateur can use it like a pro. Durability I've had this machine for a few years now, and it works just as great as the day I bought it. I take it just about everywhere with me: vacations down the shore, getaways to hotel rooms, to friends houses, etch. My friends love when I bring it over!

Too noisy, too much vibration while operating. It would be better if the space for placing the cup and milk frothing cup is bigger (short distance from the drainer and countertop). The plastic tamper is not really helping but you can easily buy a better one online. The coffee that brewed turns out to be very good though as well as the steaming function.

Th DeLonghi Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Machine makes a whole lot of noise and vibrates quite a bit. This is a big problem for me as sometimes it shakes so much when the pump is on that my cup will get jiggled off the platform. This is not okay because I can't step away from it in fear of my cup getting broken. The design is bad. You can't use espresso cups that are any larger than shot glasses. It makes espresso quickly and is affordable but it's not worth it.

It's not as great as I would of expected, but it does the job. The cost is very decent in price and as a beginner this is a perfect machine to work on. I on the other hand am more experienced with espresso machines so this was just more frustrating to me as when you making espresso and want to you the frother, the frother would shut off and than start back up a couple mins later, it was like it ran out of steam but yet I had lots of water in the unit. It was not my favorite machine, your better off spending the extra money to get a real good one!

I am addicted to caffeine and have at least two large cups of regular coffee a day. I bought this espresso machine primarily for when I have guests over or for holidays - those special occasions when you want to drink (or at least offer) espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. For more 'normal' days I tend to use my Bialetti Moka stovetop espresso machine, because it's just easier. So it's a special treat when I use my DeLonghi. When I use it I feel indulgent and proud of myself for being able to make a really great tasting drink! The espresso this machine makes is smooth and strong (stronger than my stovetop pot) and I feel professional tamping the grounds and twisting it onto the machine. I'm not so good at frothing the milk but I also use skim milk, which is probably harder than milk with more fat. The milk steamer heats the milk to a good temperature - hot but not scalding. I like that this model is pretty compact and doesn't take up too much space. Brew Performance The espresso brews up strong and smooth and doesn't take very long to make. Ease of Cleaning You have to dismantle a few parts and then clean them. And then you should run a cleaner or vinegar through the machine every so often. Ease of Use You need to get the hang of tampering and frothing the milk before you can try to approximate the store made espressos but you should be able to brew a good cup after a few tries. Design I like the compact size and sleek design. My kitchen has stainless steel appliances so I wanted a black and stainless steel espresso machine, so it blends in nicely and looks modern. Durability It seems to be a high quality machine and DeLonghi is a good brand so I expect mine to last me many years but I assume the pump might need repairs one day but so far I've had no issues.

I was hoping that this inexpensive machine would allow me the luxury of enjoying an occasional espresso at home. This was yet another lesson in "you get what you pay for" but I'm not sure I even got that much. The coffee came out so fast, regardless of grind, that there was no flavor and no crema. After only a couple weeks' use (maybe 10 or 12 espressos), the steam pump stopped working. I contacted customer service and learned very quickly that DeLonghi is totally devoid of service. I have to admit that several years ago I made the mistake of purchasing a DeLonghi microwave oven that caught fire the first time I used it. I could not get a response out of anyone. Fortunately, I was able to return it to the store, but DeLonghi didn't care that it was selling such a dangerous product. But that was several years ago. People can change, right? Not DeLonghi. Once again, customer service was not their first language and they couldn't have cared less. If I wanted to have it repaired under their vague warranty, I would have had to pay for shipping both ways which was more than half of what I paid for it. If they then decided that the problem was something I contributed to, I would have to pay for the repairs as well. My experience with DeLonghi told me that they would likely decide that it was my fault and would hold my machine hostage until I paid the ransom. The moral of the story is that maybe some folks have had a good experience with this machine, but I'm finding more who have not. This has been a good lesson that I will not again repeat and I will NEVER EVER EVER buy a DeLonghi product again!

I'm quite happy to review this particular product, as being not that famous for desing, DeLongi machine provides good value for quality. Amazing strong refreshing espresso with quite easy of use. However I have a complaint regarding cleaning procedure as it takes a long time to open all compartments and sometimes it's hard to do. in order to open compartment for coffee you have push it, I believe it's made for durability, but still, takes quite an effort. Nice hot stream coming out of tubes. Some of my cups won't fit to place under tube where espresso is coming from, but not a big deal. Don't hesitate to get one if you need one! good luck!

After being a barista for such a long time, I thought that it would be impossible to create that coffee shop taste right in my own home. But, after trying this machine, boy I couldn't be anymore wrong! It created the same shot as a machine more than 5 times its own size. Just perfect! It is very easy to clean, and it is just the right size so that it hardly takes up any counter space. But, not only does it brew espresso shots, but it also steams and foams milk to make an at home latte or cappuccino! Finally, I have found a product that allows me to have my favorite beverages at any time of the day, in the comfort of my own home- and pajamas!
