I have owned two of this type of heater. Both had a meltdown. The plug in part melted and one burned the wall outlet as well. They were used at different homes, and both times they were pretty new. Hadn't been used very much. I really liked every thing about them, but feel they are not safe.

This review is not product specific. It gives a general impression of oil heaters. Any heater on high setting will melt items too close to it. Make sure you have sufficient clearance from items that could be damaged by the heat. These heaters are not designed to heat a room quickly. Use a different style of heater if that is your requirement. These heaters will maintain an even temperature over extended periods. Always use the right tool for the job.
