This product is dependable, reasonably priced & easy to operate. Another big PRO is that once this heater has reached the temperature that YOU (the user) has chosen and set the unit at, this heated maintains and holds that temperature very well. The only main con, I can think of is that it does take...

I have owned two of this type of heater. Both had a meltdown. The plug in part melted and one burned the wall outlet as well. They were used at different homes, and both times they were pretty new. Hadn't been used very much. I really liked every thing about them, but feel they are not safe.

Suddenly, Los Angeles nights are cold, and the air is whistling through the spaces in our oddly-fitting old windows.  Brrrrrrr.
So... I've just dragged out two of our three DeLonghi heaters and spaced them appropriately for dog Shelby, cat Vivo, and "Mom" (we're often cold) and dog Dolce and "Dad" (the hot-bodied creatures around here).
The older, larger heater has wheels but is a pain to move over thresholds and throw rugs.  If I need to heft it while hot, I have to go out and get potholders from the kitchen.  Some convenience, huh?
The smaller, newer DeLonghi is imprinted with...

This upright, oil-filled heater has worked perfectly in our townhouse!  Our townhouse was built with the air ducts arranged more for air conditioning than for heating -- 2x as many vents upstairs and all vents are on the ceiling. This left our ground floor living room, dining room and kitchen quite chilly in the winter, even with the heating on. We needed a space heater for this 500 sq ft. area.

We first got a small ceramic, fan-assisted heater, and used it through 2006/2007 winter. The fan was loud and it left the air very, very dry.

This winter we decided to comparison shop and find a more suitable...

We were looking for a way to help cut costs with the rising price of our winter gas bill, but have had several electric heaters of inferior quality.  After a bit of research, we decided to try out an oil-filled radiator.  Wow!  What a great purchase.  This heater is perfect for our home.  We keep one in the living room and one in our bedroom.  The thin profile allows it to sit easily in almost any space.  The air coming out the top is nice and hot, but the sides stay cool enough that it is safe around our pets.  Our cat even snuggles up next to it sometimes, keeping herself nice and toasty! ...

It's been %#$@ cold so far this winter and my bedoom has two uninsulated exterior walls. I normally turn the heat in the house down to 63F at night but the bedroom can easily fall below that when it's really cold outside. The answer was a DeLonghi oil-filled radiator-style heater, which I bought at Costco for $40. So far, it works well. The specific model of DeLonghi heater I bought is the EW7707CM.

What it is

The DeLonghi EW7707CM radiator heater is an electric device that plugs into a standard 120-Volt outlet. Its heavy power cord is about six feet long, so you will need to be that close to an...

This heater was a great value at my local big-box hardware store, especially after the winter season's clearances.  We use it to keep our family room warm without having to turn on the whole house heater.  It struggles with large rooms or high ceilings, but does very well in small rooms with normal ceiling heights.

If you are going to use this in a room with high ceilings (or adjacent to a room with high ceilings, where your heat will tend to want to escape), I would suggest turning on a ceiling fan to help push the air down in the room of interest.  We have found that placing the unit in the...

We purchased this at Lowes about 2 months ago and so far it has been working like a champ! This was purchased specifically for a garage shop - woodturning studio (20X20).Our concerns were that we needed something that we could leave on unattended, something sealed (no exposed coils for sawdust to get into), something with a thermostat, a timer and reliable - Delonghi was our final choice and we are pleased. We live in Northern Virginia and had our first snow about a week ago, the temp in the garage dropped to 60 degrees - we normally keep it at 66 - so there was a temperature drop, had we thought... review »

My home office is a small room on the top floor of a 100-year-old house. In winter, the heat just doesn't make it all the way up there. Last year I found the perfect solution, a DeLonghi oil-filled heater. It's like a little radiator that plugs in the wall and rolls around the room. It wasn't expensive...less than $50.  It's safe...unlike other space heaters, it doesn't have any exposed heating elements, and it doesn't get so hot that it would ignite anything. It isn't an energy-hog...in fact, it uses less electricity that the other space heaters did. It gives off a warm, radiant heat...on extra... review »

We have used this kind of oil filled radiator for years and we have never had one single problem with them. They aren't terribly expensive, and as far as I have been able to tell,it doesn't run up my electric bill hardly at all. They are simple to figure out(for those of us who have had problems with this kind of heater!) and are just as simple to use.I consider this type much better,I have one dog and four cats, and they all love it.They have never gotten close enough to get too hot,and they indeed,so love them. The safety features include an automatic shut off if the unit is turned over on it's side.I... review »

I enjoy this heater, it being energy effecient foremost.I do not have to worry about it catching other things on fire that happen to be near it.It is easy to roll to whever it's needed.I have two for my mother in law since she needs added heat whenever she's sitting and it's chilly being elderly as she is.They are great for workshops and garages since one cannot have an open flame or heated coils. If you do not have one I strongly suggest getting one you'll not regret it.

When living in the Santa Cruz Mountain my residence was a small cottage that had no central heat. I needed a way to heat the cottage as it did not sit on the ground. The cottage was raised off the ground at least one foot so the air flowed freely below the cottage. In the winter I could barely get the temperature above 55F.

I found the DeLonghi Radiator Oil Heater and it made it possible to heat the cottage and be comfortable. It isn't as if I wanted the temperature to be 70+. Just comfortable. This was the answer to this particular problem.

Living aboard a rather large sailboat also has particular...

I needed a  low power consumption heater for the apartment I live in, the base mounted electric heater the apartment I live in worked okay but did not heat the whole room.

After a little research and taking into account that it was very protable, I decided on the DeLonghi Oil Filled Radiator heater.  I had in the past used space heaters with fans that heated areas were the fan was directed and were not very effiecient.

After some experimentation I found that by placing the heater in a central location and turning the heater on high for a while to warm the oil then turning it down to keep...

The Delonghi Oil Filled Heater is a simple, time-tested design that has not given me the slightest hint of trouble.  It always emits large amounts of heat that are able to heat up much of my house (1500+ sq ft) believe it or not.

The massive surface area that is availible to heat the air around it is the ultimate reason for the effectiveness of its simplicity.

It's also on wheels so if you need to move it from room to room it's a breeze too!

It makes almost no noise, and the simplicity in its design gives it massive surface area in a small space so it can heat up much more air than standard units....

I feel that since the cost of heating our homes is still an issue, along with the high cost of  products we use everyday in our homes, I needed to let everyone know that  I myself have tried several alternate methods of helping to ease the pain of the cost of oil.

Last year, I bought 3 Delonghi oil heaters, at the price of 37.49 each, at Lowes.

This year , I bought 2 more. I was so impressed with the constant even  heat that they produce in each room, that I decided to give  a real try, by using only the Delonghi heaters in each...
