DeLonghi Heater - Oil Heater - Radiator  — 

We purchased this at Lowes about 2 months ago and so far it has been working like a champ! This was purchased specifically for a garage shop - woodturning studio (20X20).Our concerns were that we needed something that we could leave on unattended, something sealed (no exposed coils for sawdust to get into), something with a thermostat, a timer and reliable - Delonghi was our final choice and we are pleased. We live in Northern Virginia and had our first snow about a week ago, the temp in the garage dropped to 60 degrees - we normally keep it at 66 - so there was a temperature drop, had we thought about it, would have raised the thermostat a bit to compensate for the outside temps. No worries though, we bumped up the thermostat and the next day it held it's temp fine, keep in mind one of the walls is not insulated - and I suspect this has everything to do with it. We have a dedicated electrical outlet that this unit is plugged into - this may or may not be a factor for some - but I recall when researching- that some people had an issue with the using it at it's highest settings because of this. Also, there is no 'digital' readout of the thermostat, which isn't an issue for us - We just set it half way and on snow days - we'll increase it to a little past the halfway mark. The timer works like the timer dials that you plug your lights into, very easy - it is in 24 hour time which may throw some people off, I even found myself counting out loud in 12 hour time so as to make the conversion. At any rate, I highly recommend this heater if you want safe, peace of mind operation from a brand that is reliable and trusted. We love it!
