We wanted a coffee maker that we could use for making espresso and the fact that the DeLonghi EC7 had the ability to do that and make "regular" coffee really appealed to us. We love the espresso we get from this coffee maker. It takes little time and comes out extremely well. We have had to buy some additional small cups as some of our larger mugs did not fit into the space provided. But with espresso we did not need to drink a huge amount anyway. We did find that we need to clean the maker well after using it, especially for espresso, if we want the "regular" to be the best it can.
