DeLonghi DO1274 6-Slice Toaster Oven The Best Toaster Oven I'm ever owned - by far!!! I have gone through 3 or 4 toaster ovens over the years and this is the ONE. My roomate loves it too, which is all that really matters. The fan bake is the best, food gets done quick and the food is actually properly browned and crispy. I love the light inside the unit and the digital readout ensures the temp. is correct and the timer keeps me from over cooking the food (or forgetting about it - Ha!). Something that is neat about this unit is that it has a quick function guide that pulls out from the bottom so you don't have to keep the user guide around in case you want to figure out what the pizza settings means, etc. My only complaint is that the display doesn't seem centered (the top and side has a white border, the bottom and right side doesn't). In addition it is pretty bright. A good night light I guess. I would recommend this unit to any and everyone, especially for people who like their toaster oven to have multiple purposes! It is just like William Sonoma unit (minus the dehydrator function and no stainless steel top/side casing) but less expensive - even better!  Enjoy!

I use this toaster oven at work and have the feeling that I haven't quite discovered its full potential yet. I love it for the few things I use it for (toasting bread - obviously =) ) but I cut up a sweet potato and an onion the other day, chopped them up and baked and they turned out great! It was fast (a lot faster than heating up a conventional oven and baking potato chunks) and clean up was easy. I am tempted to bring some cookie dough I made at home and try to bake up some fresh cookies at work. Who wouldn't love warm cookies in the middle of a workday? And even if they turn out bad, the office will smell nice :) Be careful and watch the timer when toasting because depending on what you put in there, you may end up with a blackened version. Overall, really nice toaster oven!

THIS IS A GREAT TOASTER OVEN. First lets talk about the toast - it will toast 6 slices of toast, so it you have a need for multiple slices, having a toaster that will toast 6 slices at once is a good feature. but like any other toaster oven, when you put 6 slices in, the less air that circulates around the slices, so it does take more time. it toast more efficiently when you toast 4 or 2. The oven. - this holds a regular 9 X 12 roasting pan, so you get an extra "oven". It is great when you need one. It cooks just as good as your oven. Evenly and does not "burn" food, like some toaster ovens do. The problem I have is after a year of use, the toast seemed to not toast as even - just like cheaper toaster ovens. so since this was my "main toaster" - what do I do now? I loved it, but do I go out and now buy a toaster? I took good care of the oven, kept it clean, did not misuse it - and yet I was forced to go out and buy something else because I became dissatisfied with the toaster part. So for the price - I say - although it is a great oven - if you primarily use it for a toaster, go out and buy a cheaper unit - and replace it more often.......... just my opinion

We were so thrilled when we bought our DeLonghi 6-slice Toaster Oven, that is was made to accommodate many different types of food, such as toast, bagels, steak, and even a whole chicken. We have used it when our main oven was not working for larger meals and even cheesecakes, but, in general, it gets daily use for breakfast and lunch. It heats up left-overs in a hurry, too! The toaster comes with a pan and grill tray which can hold a small chicken, casserole, or lasagna. Use the grill tray for toasting nuts, or for broiling a steak. A loud bell announces the end of the toast cycle, which can be adjusted perfectly for the "doneness" you desire. And, of course, it can fit 6 slices of bread or bagel halves at a time. I would highly recommend this make of toaster oven!

I have gone through 3 toaster ovens in the past year and was getting fed up.  Ofcourse I bought the cheapest one I could find and they either didn't perform right or the mechanical functions stopped working.  Either way this toaster oven that i've had for 6 months now is awesome to say the least.  Its 6 slice so even if you don't need that space it is still nice to have to be able to put a pizza in there or just to get your food out without getting burned is enough.  Another nice feature is the stainless and black and a handle that is easy to grap and the door doesn't close back up on you while you got your hand in the oven.  The timer is wonderful as well and the led display.  The crumb tray actually catches the crumbs (what a concept)!  And the temperature goes all the way up to 500 degress if you need it the other ones i've oned for some reason only reached 400 degrees.  Best of all its affordable.

Seriously who needs a toaster these days when you have the toaster ovens.  This was a wedding gift and it certainly gets a lot of use.  The toaster oven seems to be on the larger side which allows us to bake pies, pizza, chicken, beef, cookies, brownies....and on and on.  Since adding this to the house we rarely use the actual oven.  I would say that if you do cook a lot of roasts or chicken that wiping down the inside when you are done help eliminates some of the oil/grease splatter.  If you stick to baked goods you avoid this all together.  The size does allow flexibility but the downside of the toaster oven is that it takes a fair amount of counter space.  If you are limited on counter space I would look at purchasing a smaller toaster oven.  But if you have the space certainly go for a larger toaster oven and you won't be disappointed if you choose this one.  Also from what we see the actual temperature of the oven itself is fairly consistent with what the settings are.  Our previous model was constantly hotter than what the setting showed.  I guess another downside is that when baking a pie, you need to rotate it a few times to prevent burning on the edges.

I love my DeLonghi DO1279 6-Slice Toaster Oven.  I have been using it for three years now and I have had NO problems with it whatsoever.  It cooks food evenly and takes the same amount of time as a regular oven.  I use it daily for everything. I make toast, cook dinners, bake cookies, warm up food, and so much more with it.  I love how sleek it looks and how little space it takes up for how much you can fit in it.  You can fit a full size frozen pizza in it. The DeLonghi DO1279 6-Slice Toaster Oven bakes, makes toast, broils, cooks pizza, warms, fan and bake, and deforst.  Fan and bake is the conventional aspect of baking. The only thing that I don't like about the DeLonghi DO1279 6-Slice Toaster Oven is that it doesn't cook pizzas evenly.  It seems to burn the tops of them before they are done cooking all the way through.  I have found that if I rotate it throughout the cooking process it will not burn.  But, this is a pain.

When it is the weekend, i always make a very big breakfast for my family and this toaster oven is exactly the thing for that big job. My other toaster could only hold two slices of bread at a time so it took me a very long time to make breakfast toast. This toaster has enough room for six whole slices of bread and that cuts my toasting time down by a lot. This toaster also can be used for many other things. For example, I can make English muffin pizzas, or warm up chicken nuggets in it. The toaster can be heavy to lift, so I discourage my kids from trying to lift or carry it. The best part is the timer that I am able to set so that I know when my food is ready. The timer is so loud I can hear it when I am upstairs. The other nice part about this is that I can set the settings that I want to cook my food at. There are so many foods and snacks I can use in this toaster oven and the possibilities are enless.

We recieved this as a wedding gift and love it!  I have used it almost every night to heat up bread for dinner, and use it most mornings for toast, waffles, etc. we make a lot of pancakes and waffles at once and freeze them to save money over the store bought kind, and this oven heats them up better.  Everything gets crispy but not burnt.  I also love that you can see the food unlike a regular toaster. What I love most is that you can really cook in this toaster oven.  I bake small batches of cookies (same deal - freeze a bunch and use as needed) and before we had kids, we used it to bake two-person sized side dishes like baked macaroni and cheese, so i dont have to heat up the regular oven. We save money by saving power. I also love that, unlike a regular oven, it can be set to turn off when the time is up so you dont end up with burnt food if you don't hear the timer or forget about it.
