DeLonghi DO400 Toaster Oven is great because I bought it myself without any help from anyone else. LOL! Seriously, I did, and that is sooooo unusual. Purchases in our house are never made without a lot of extensive research (which I, of course, did). But what is so amazing about this purchase is I had never heard of this brand before I rstarted researching toaster ovens and come to fidn out, no one else I talked with had either. I found out that this toaster oven is rated among the best. Now that I have been using it for quite a while, I know it's *the *best. It doesn't cost much; it's cost is right in line with other comparable brands. If you are in the market for a toaster oven, look no further because this one is really the best. After many years of "putting up" with a toaster oven that either burned toast but took forever to bake anything; or baked things beautifully but dried out toast without toasting it we purchased this little toaster oven. It was perfect. The toast settings allowed us to choose different lengths of toasting time based on the different types of bread we used so any kind of bread could be perfectly browned. We did have to learn that a second course of toast immediately following a first set needed to be watched carefully as the timing needed to be shortened when the oven was already hot. All in all this is a great oven and does everything we wanted it to do in a small space. We need a small footprint and this is perfect for us.

I received the DeLonghi Toaster Oven for christmas and was so excited to get started using it. We eat a lot of leftovers at our house and toast a lot of bread. My husband was skeptical of why I would want such a contraption.. but after one week he was just as excited about it as I was! This toaster oven does a great job of doing the basics : toast, bake, broil. The digital readout is very clear, the buttons are easy to figure out, and the timer is awsome. I love that the timer will turn off the oven once it is done so I don't ruin my food if I forget it. We can easily toast 4 pieces of bread in this machine at once, which is a big help since we only have a two slice toaster. I love being able to rewarm leftovers and they have that just cooked texture to them, unlike the microwave. I love how quickly it warms up so I don't have to wait on my oven. We hardly ever need the large space of our oven, so the toaster oven just makes more sense most days. I don't like the cheap broiler pan that comes with the oven. It feels cheap and thin. I think it probably will not last long which worries me a little bit. However, as far as performing the functions it needs to, works great for us!
