Dawn Dish Soap Review

No need to buy ice melt when you use Dawn dishsoap.

It was by accident a few years ago I found out Dawn would thaw the ice from my deck steps and keep it from refreezing.

We had gotten a ice storm the day before and everything was covered. I had just finished washing dishes and found that the drain was clogged. This meant bailing out the water before trying to unclog the drain. I stepped out onto the deck to toss the water off the side. Nothing like trying to stand up on ice with a pan of water in your hands. Needless to say as my feet were going every which way I spilled the dish water across the deck and down the steps. You could here the ice popping and melting right away. My thought was that it would really freeze a mess on the steps. But hours later everywhere I had spilled the dish water there was still no ice.

Now anytime I need to melt the ice from the steps, I just give a good squirt of Dawn dishsoap into a gal of warm water and pour it over the ice.
