I probably date myself by admitting that I remember when everyone washed dishes with powdered detergent.  It was an exciting event in 1949 when "Joy", the first liquid detergent made its debut.  That's probably the closest I ever came to enjoying doing the dishes when I was a little girl and I never thought things would get better than that but once I tried Dawn Dishwashing Detergent, I never looked back.  It does a wonderful job of helping me with what today is one of my least favorite tasks.

Doing dishes by hand is for many of us a fact of life and Dawn Dishwashing Detergent makes it easier.  I especially enjoy the "Ultra" form of the product and also experimenting with the different fragrances that Dawn comes in.

Another good thing about Dawn is that when there is an oil spill in the ocean, Dawn will donate their products to help save the animals by getting the oil off their body and out of their fur.

In response to GigiandAdonai's comment from Sep 25, 2008 at 12:16PM:

I'm not really a fan of doing dishes and I don't have a dishwasher. Finally, I have bitten down on the bullet and resolved to try to do the dishes EVERY DAY, which keeps it to a tolerable point. BOY, I bet no one ever thought of THAT before, huh? HAHA!

I use Joy to wash my car. I am a die-hard Dawn fan but guess what? Another surprising fact about me? I have been in my new home for 5 years and the dish washer has never been used. It still has the welcome package in it;+) I'm single so I just squirt the Dawn on the dishcloth and wash a plate, glass, etc. Even when I hosted the family Christmas party 3 years in a row I didn't use the dishwasher. I'm so conservative it's saving me pennies on the dollar with my elec. bill. But the dishwasher does come in handy for storing party supplies and the younger children love to sit on the floor and play with the magnetic dress-up dolls on it! Yes, that must be why I have a dishwasher ;+}
