Dawn Direct Foam Dishwashing Foam Soap —

I have been using this product for at least a year. I'm extremely loyal to the product, and have recommended it to everyone who comes to my house. I can honestly tell you, they're all addicted to it now, too.

Dawn Direct foam has many pluses, my favorite is that it makes glass sparkle like diamonds! It's easy to use, it helps conserve water, refills are economical and use less plastic, Dishes dry faster... I really can't say enough about it!

I use the blue flavor. I've never tried the other varieties, but I'm sure they smell just as nice as the blue. Refills come in a large bottle, good for at least two total fills of the pumper thing. The pump handle is big enough that I can dispense with my wet gloves on. Another Plus!!! It cuts grease so much faster than regular dish soap, too. It's worth the extra cost to me because you use so much less of it at a time. And honestly, they could charge double and I'd probably pay it, I like the product that much.

This is one of my favorite household products. I have no room for a dishwasher, so hand-washing is my only option. Dawn Direct Foam makes it... almost fun. Seriously. Do yourself a favor and pick up the dispenser on your next shopping trip. You will fall in love. With a dish soap.

Well, I just read some of the negative reviews. I've got some rebuttals.
One said "you're paying for air" um. not at all. the refills are pure liquid, the pump itself mixes air with the liquid soap to make foam. So that statement is completey misguided.
Another said she put the foam into her dishwater. The instructions for the foam's use are pretty clear. You get a sponge wet. (i've found the sponges from the dollar store work better than the O-celo) Then you squeeze out excess water, pump the foam onto the sponge itself, and squeeze the sponge to distribute the foam. When you wash a dish, you take it out of the water (if you use water in the sink at all), then you wash it with the sponge, then you rinse the dish. There should not be any diluting of the foam. It isn't designed to work like that.
As to the drying of your hands, I use Playtex Gloves when I wash dishes. I'm  klutz, notorious for dropping wet dishes. When you've got a dish all sudsed up with the direct foam, it can get even more slippery than with regular dish soap. (To me, that says it's really clean.) But I've always used gloves to minimize slippery-ness and to insulate from the rocket-hot water I like to use.
Another said the problem might be that she doesn't have a water softener. We don't either, and we're on harsh city water. We have to filter the stuff to drink it (not too tasty), so I doubt the water softness is the issue.

I guess the bottom line here is, I can't imagine how this product would not work for you, provided you've read and followed the instructions for use. This stuff is NOT like regular dish soap. You need to use a new paradigm here. The benefits are pretty great, provided you use it the way it was meant to be used.
