David's Bridal Review

I was the Maid of Honor for my sister's wedding Aug. 08, 2009 and all 6 bridesmaids and my sister got our dresses at David's Bridal. The dresses looked beautiful while they were hanging on the hanger and before we put them on, after that, ummmm not so much. BEFORE we all walked down the isle, 2 of the bridesmaids zippers busted, one had to rig it with a black sock ( the dresses were black and style # 81123) and the other used a black cloth sunglasses holder, well before we could fix them two up, my dress and another girls dress the upfolds or ruffles or whatever you want to call them started the fall out, so by the time we walked down the isle, they weren't there fluffy beautiful selves they were suppose to be, instead they were straight and awful looking. The further into the night the more ruffles we lost, just disgusted.  We just left the dresses in our hotel rooms the next morning as we were checking out, it would have cost more just to fix them and it's not like we were going to wear them again.  So I wrote a letter to the store we got them from and I think the corporate office in Philadephia, a customer service lady did call me back and she says, " Well I can tell you that this has never happened before and why don't you send the dresses to us so we can look at them" I said well #1 the dresses are in the hotel dumpster and # 2 I'm not going to travel 450 more miles with this ruined dress that we all paid $188.00 for and #3 I'm not going to pay anymore towards David's Bridal crap for this to be shipped to them, she said "well I can't believe you wouldn't think of sending us the dresses, ummmm no that wasn't the first thing on my mind, the first thing was NEVER to buy from this place again and she treated me like I was lying to her, I'm sorry I'm not going to take the time out of my busy day trying to get a couple hundred dollars back in my pocket book. So, my bottom line is David's Bridal material is crap or the dress makers do not know what they are doing.
