About the David King Leather Porthole Brief with Inside Organizer
This was expensive a couple of years ago (over $100.00) and still is but it was worth it. I love bags and have a lot to carry around especially when I go from my home office to my away from home office. This doesn't fit my new 17 inch widescreen laptop but it fits everything else and has pockets for everything. I never have to cram anything into it, there's a place for it all.
The briefcase is 15.5 x 4.5 x 12 inches and weighs 3.5 pounds. It isn't flimsy! It has a huge main section that a normal laptop could fit into or just about anything from books to files. The bottom will open up if the case is heavy so I can set it down on a desk. There are a million pockets on this thing notably a big zippered one plus two open ones on the back and two open ones on the front of the case. Under the flap is an organizer that holds ID, credit cards, photos, and pens. There is a cell phone holder on the side and the shoulder strap is both adjustable and removable. The closers are magnetic which I love. They are easy to open yet stay firmly closed when I want them to. There are several zippered sections which I absolutely need because I lose stuff if it is zippered in.
I carry my iPod, many file folders, a journal, pens, my camera, photos, items I am moving from one office to another, my cosmetic bag, a bottle of vitamin water, and tons more in this case. I clean it twice a year with good leather cleaner and it has stayed beautiful and supple. The brief comes in black, tan, and café. I have it in tan which I was worried about considering how I spill everything on everything but I treated this with leather waterproofing when I got it and liquid beads up and doesn't stain at all. Best of all, this is unisex. It is neither girly nor masculine and makes a great gift for a college student or a professional.
My Viewpoint
Gorgeous. I love it. It will last or years more and I use it nearly everyday. 5 stars.
