Tis the season for a Smooth Jazz Christmas, this one with talented Dave Koz and his group of fellow and equally accomplished Smooth Jazz collogues.  Since 1997 the Dave Koz & Friends Christmas Tour featuring Saxophonist Dave Koz, trumpeter Rick Braun, pianist David Benoit, guitarist Peter White, and vocalist Brenda Russell, has grown from a handful of concerts to a national must-see event touring more than 30 cities...

"TheBard" said it before me...this CD is a treasure.  Dave Koz is the premier jazz sax player of our time.  And this comes from a St. Louis native who loves another St. Louis native sax player...David Sanborn. (Sorry David)

Track 1) Smooth Jazz Christmas Overture: Starts with "Let It Snow" and ends with a roaring version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".  Track 2) is the timeless "The Christmas Song", written by Mel Tormé and Robert Wells.  Track 3) "O'Tannenbaum/Sleigh Ride Medley" is another that starts off slow & smooth, then kicks it up more than a notch.
