Dark Prince Review

Christine Feehan has created a wonderful and intriguing world with Dark Prince.  She has gone one step further in portraying the vampire. 

I really enjoyed this book, and got so into it, I read it in one sitting.  The characters draw you into their world and story, and you cannot get enough of it!

This story is about a Carpathian prince.  at first glance he seems like a vampire, but surprisingly he is a hunter of vampires.  The Carpathian males live to find their "soul mate" and if they find her, they are saved.  If they do not, or if they do not wait long enough they may turn into a vampire. The entire race of the Carpathian is based on true love, whereas the vampire is only selfish. Though the Carpathian and the vampire have many similar traits, the Carpathian are the heroes.  Both have mind powers, strength, and drink blood, but the Carpathians are able to live side by side with the humans. 

The characters were very well written, and well defined.  The book was very descriptive and made you feel as if you were an observer in their world.  Dark Prince also sets up the next book in the series, which i love because then i can watch for it.

I really enjoy the romance books about vampires, and the series even more.  I read about a book each day, and read favorites over and over.  This series is one of my absolute favorites, and i think i have read it about 6-8 times.  The book is descriptive enough that even after reading it, i can still picture the world and story from it.  I always start with Dark Prince not only because it provides a time-line, but also for the introduction to this new world.
