I love Greek food, especially hummus and falafle, so I think I'm a decent judge.  Daphne's is a chain, so it's not as good as my favorite little hole in the wall kind of Greek places, but it is certainly tasty and quick and easy.  I don't eat meat, so must warn I cannot give any opinion on the meat... review »

I used to work next to Daphne's Cafe so I would frequent their establishment about once a week. I'm vegetarian so I would always get their veggie plate with spanikopita, greek salad, rice, pita, hummus and falafel. I enjoy variety :-)

The first couple times I ate here the food was DELICIOUS. I'm a small...

I've always liked Daphne's for their food.  Then I took my Girl Scouts there for this behind the scenes thing.  It was only $3.  They got a tour, some history of the Greek mythology about Daphne, a badge, a full meal, and coupons for free kids meals.  Then I dida fundraiser for my son's school there.  It was so awesome.  They gave the school 10% of their sales for the day. No flyers required.  Now they keep offering opportunities for our school like giving us tickets to Aztec football games to use as prizes and gift cards for opportunity drawings.  They are really good people.

There are several Daphne's locations in San Diego County.  I usually eat at the San Marcos, Poway or Mira Mesa locations.

The menu is fast food Greek--think Hummus, Gyros, Falafels, Salads with Feta Cheese and briny Black Olives. There are also vegetarian options as well.  The prices are very reasonable (I don't think anything is more than about $9) and the service is quick and friendly. You can also get platters and bulk orders to go for parties or family style service at home.

Daphne's Greek Cafe, has an excellent menu thier gyro's are eisily the best ive found in the san diego area and thier prices are low enogh you can afford to make it a multiple time a week afair. Unfortunatly they do not have a delivery service or at least the one i go to dosnt thier are other cafes in the area and they may deliver but thier spread isnt nearly wide enough to reach us out in east county. If they were to open one out here with a delivery they would easily make a decent profit to make it all worth while

I recent had lunch at Daphne's and was disappointed in the portion size.  I ordered chicken and received three tiny one inch piece of chicken and a couple wedges of bread.  This was about $8.   I used to frequent Daphne's more when I worked nearby and remember the serving sizes being much better.   The chicken was tasty but the fries where limp and tasteless.

Daphne's always has good food.  One time, I went to an event with a Microbiology professor who got to choose where the food was catered from, and he chose Daphne's.  Their food is always great.  I'm a big fan of gyros.  Also love hummus, but their's is a little bland.  The tzeki (spelling?) is great.  I always order double salad instead of rice & salad.

Daphne's food is great and their service is good. The only problem is they are so popular! I only have a 30 minute lunch break so I usually can not get through the line with enough time left to actually enjoy my food before rushing back to work. Not their fault, maybe I should be complaining to my boss about my lunch "hour"...

Roasted Red pepper hummus was extremely tasty.  My husband, who is not a big fan, even enjoyed the flavor.  The Gyros is as good as it gets.  I lived in Detroit and ate in Greek Town and this gyros was just as good.

Thank you and keep up the good work.  Claudia

I have eaten here my fair share of times. It is always delicious. The staff have always been friendly. The food fresh and hot. And the medley of taste that overwhelm your taste buds are always bringing me back for more. Especially since it is inexpensive and delightful to my tummy.

Daphnes has excelllent food and service. Even though they are usually busy around lunchtime, the line moves fairly quickly.  I love the Veggie lunch and the Fire fries.
