Stay Away For Your Health!

Comments about Danskin Now Yoga Mat:

**My wife got this in hopes of using along with her pilates videos**. **First off, it has a funky smell to it when you first open it, which we know many things do, so she could get past that over time as it airs out. However, once you fully open the package, you get a warning that reads "This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm." Now if that isn't telling you to run away and don't buy me, I don't now what is! Unfortunately, they don't put this on the outside of the mat so you can see it clear as day before you buy it! No, they make you purchase the thing, unwrap the whole cover, and then this small piece of paper is in there that basically could easily be lost, especially if you're one that doesn't generally read everything that tells you your life is possibly in danger with this product! There may be a few good things to say about this product, but after that manipulation of me as a consumer, I don't think they deserve another second of anyone's time! **

Danskin Now Yoga Mat - NOW No Excuses

By

Comments about Danskin Now Yoga Mat:

**Danskin Now Yoga Mat** is an integral addition to your home exercise equipment - more specifically, your yoga equipment.  For those of you unfamilar with yoga and/or pilates, the mat is not simply the material that keeps you from a rug burn during your routine. Padding is only 50% or so of its function. Your mat must also have a traction function, allowing you to hold poses safely despite perspiration or just the impossibility that gravity exerts on your body.

Yoga mats range in quality and cost and the two aren't necessarily related. Some expensive athletic-name brand ones are truly awful: thin and slick already, just out of the package. Others work satisfactorily for a number of weeks before gradually losing the slightly "tacky" quality that allows your necessary traction. Others seem just fine until one drop of perspiration hits their surface, at which time they turn into your very own version of an indoor "Slip & Slide."

Danskin Now Yoga Mat is really a wonderful product: very reasonably priced, available at most mass merchandisers, and most importantly, very durable even when used on a daily basis for months at a time. There is a velcro band at the end of the mat to allow you to roll it up and pop it in the corner. It also includes a mesh carrier so that you can fashionably trot from your yoga class and back again. I've included a personal photo of my mat and the velcro attachment. (The paw in the photo is not me, but belongs to my border collie, Zoe.)
