Don't like the cereal but helped with my stomach

By

from Stroudsburg, PA

Comments about Dannon Activia Yogurt with Fiber:

I was having trouble with constipation so I knew I needed to get more fiber into my diet. I love eating yogurts so I thought that I would try out the Dannon Activia yogurts with fiber. To be honest, the yogurt itself did taste really good, but I wasn't a fan of the cereal flakes, and their lack of variety in the flavors. I feel like the cereal flakes ruined the consistency and overall flavor of the yogurts. If Activia changed the Fiber formula and made it without the cereal, then I would buy it again. If I had to choose what my favorite flavor was, I actually thought that the pineapple was delicious. I do feel though that the yogurt did help with my digestion, and made my stomach feel better, which was the whole reason I bought this yogurt in the first place. Overall I would say it's an okay yogurt, but it's definitely not a favorite of mine. I would also say that i'm pretty disappointed because Dannon usually has a lot of great tasting yogurts.

Flavor/Taste
They really don't have a lot of flavors of this yogurt, and I also wish that they didn't have the extra cereal chips added into the yogurt. They could have done without them. I liked the pineapple flavor the most, but it definitely isn't my favorite yogurt. There are better yogurts out there.

Variety
This yogurt comes in a few different flavors like peach & cereal, strawberry & cereal, pineapple & cereal, and vanilla & cereal. They don't have much of a variety of the fiber yogurt, but Activia has plenty of other kinds of yogurts to choose from.

Consistency
It has a regular yogurt consistency. It's creamy and rich, and it's on the thinner side but it's not runny at all either.

Convenience
This is a really easy and convenient way to get extra fiber into my diet. They are a nice quick snack to have.

Pretty good

Comments about Dannon Activia Yogurt with Fiber:

I am a huge fan of yogurt and I love to try new brands and new flavors. When I first saw Dannon Activia Yogurt it was on a commercial on tv. I decided to look at my local grocery store for it afterwards so I could try it out. This yogurt is a little more costly than some other brands. I needed to add more fiber to my diet anyway, so when I saw Activia yogurt that had fiber in it too, I knew I wanted to try it out. The yogurt ended up being super good. It has a really good taste and the consistency is nice too. It is really rich and creamy, but not too thick. I have tried the strawberry and pineapple flavors. They are both really yummy but I usually buy strawberry because they can be bought in a pack instead of individually. I wish I could get pineapple that way because it is my favorite flavor out of them all. I like these yogurts at breakfast time or for snacks. One of my favorite things about the yogurt is it is filling. I love that I can eat this for a snack and not be hungry again until supper time. I would definitely recommend this yogurt to others because it is really good. It is tasteful, filling, and good for you! It cost a little bit more than some yogurts do, but it is definitely worth the price.

Activia is status quo amongst the many yogurt brands.

Comments about Dannon Activia Yogurt with Fiber:

There have been many commercials promoting all of the "extra special" health benefits that Activia yogurt has, including the Fiber, and I have to say that it tastes pretty good. The added fiber benefit hidden in a product that tastes so good is a bonus when given that fiber even sounds bland to say. The various names of the probiotics Activia uses in their yogurts sound quite impressive, so it seems natural for fiber to join the healthy tummy team. Dannon has put forth a healthy, good tasting product.
When it comes to financial value, it doesn't seem that this Activia with fiber is worth the extra money to maintain good digestive health when compared to other yogurt brands which also contain the same stomach-friendly yogurt cultures, and fiber in a yogurt product doesn't seem like a necessity, even though fiber is deemed a healthy part of an individual's diet.

Comments about Dannon Activia Yogurt with Fiber:

My wife and I recently purchase Dannon Activia Yogurt with Fiber and I must say it taste better than the Activia without fiber. I must say that it is a great product to help you if you are having digesting problems. My wife takes a lot pain medicine that have her with digestive problems so she had to take stool softers but  when she started eating Activia yogurt it really help her. She also found out that her potassium was low and Activia is great way for her to get the potassium and fiber that she needs. I highly recommend that you try Activia yogurt with fiber.

Fiber on the side please - Dannon Yogurt with Fiber is soggy.

By

Comments about Dannon Activia Yogurt with Fiber:

I like Dannon's low fat yogurt. It tastes great, and it is supposed to regulate the digestive tract. It also helps prevent yeast infections. So, I get a tasty snack that is good for me and adds a little calcium to my diet. Throwing in some fiber also sounded like a good idea, so on the last trip to the grocery store, I picked up a four pack of Dannon Yogurt with Fiber.

Mixing the fiber in with the yogurt did not work for me.

I am the type to pour the milk on cereal at the last possible second so that the flakes or whatever do not get soggy. I don't like tomatoes on sandwiches or burgers, because the bread gets soggy. Nope. Soggy does not work for me at all.

Dannon yogurt with fiber has the fiber stuff stirred in. They are like very tiny chips of cereal or something similar. And, since they are mixed in, they are not crunchy. They are soggy.

The strawberry yogurt part tasted just great, but every bite had soggy little clumps. Ick.

If you like your cereal to get mushy before you eat it and like foods combined, then you may love Dannon Yogurt with Fiber.

For myself, I will buy the regular Activia yogurt from now on and just sprinkle in some bran flakes or something when I'm ready to have a snack. The idea is good, and I think that would work. Some companies separate the fiber or toppings from the yogurt (and pack it on top), and I am the type of buyer who would do better with that I think, since I really did find the texture offputting with the fiber all gooey mixed in with the smooth yogurt.
