Most HelpfulIf you don't have IBS you might not want to try Activia. I have had one little container a day for 4 days and am sick - literally!
Dizziness, nausiousness, throwing up, cramping, rumbling tummy!
I am not eating any more. I have been searching online for side effects and I have found a few people with...
review »Now, I'm not a yogurt fan, but with a family full of unscheduled eaters, digestive irregularity frequents our home. So I was pleased to see that Dannon's Activia Yogurt addresses this issue.
review »According to the Activia website (www.activia.us.com), "Activia is a lowfat yogurt from Dannon that contains Bifidus Regularis, a natural probiotic culture that can help regulate your digestive system by helping reduce long intestinal transit time. Bifidus Regularis, is a live "friendly" bacteria that's beneficial when eaten daily." "A probiotic is a living microorganism that, when administered in adequate...
I don't appreciate it when products claim to do something that they don't. I think it's just wrong. Activia claims to regulate irregularity if you eat it everyday. It's just a bunch of bull.
Activia tastes just like other yogurt. It comes in flavors that I regularly eat, like strawberry & blueberry. There aren't any pieces of fruit in it; it has a smooth consistency. The container itself, I think, is actually smaller than other brands of yogurt. But the price tag is bigger. I paid at least twice what I normally pay for yogurt. But I was willing to pay the extra if it legitimately...
review »If it wasn't for Jamie Lee Curtis, I wouldn't be writing this ... but first, a flashback by way of explanation.
A few years ago, upon the occasion of my retirement, a well-wisher who dropped by my desk asked me what I was going to DO now and I replied: "I'm not going to eat lunch at the same time every day." After 42 years of working full-time downtown, I wasn't tired of the work assigned to me but the sparkle had worn off OTHER things: commuting in bad weather, office politics, wearing nylon stockings every day ... and especially the routine of it all.
If it was 7 a.m., I was eating...
review »I'm a college Senior in Business Administration that has had a problem with IBS since I was around seven years old.
I've tried EVERYTHING out there to try and fix this problem, re-arranging my meals, eating differently, trying to adjust stress levels, trying pre-biotics (like Align), going to a GI, as well as going onto medications like Bentyl and Zantac.
Well, all I can tell you, is that all of the above methods suck.
Last Fall, I decided to try Activia.
I saw the commercials, read up on a ton of reviews, I figured, "Why not?"
I purchased enough to eat everyday for quite some time, and here's...
review »The problem with yogurt with sugar is that live cultures do not survive in a sugary environment. The only yogurt with quality live probiotics is plain yogurt. So save your money, buy plain yogurt, and mix in fresh fruit. Better for you (because you skip whatever chemicals/processing they use to create their product), and you get the same effects.
Activia is a great yogurt. I don;t particularly like yogurt, but this I love. At least the Vanilla flavor. I was recently diagnosed with IBS. It requires daily management to limit outbreaks. I have noticed a difference since eating activia. Their claims of regulating digestion are acurate, at least in my case. I will continue to include activia in my diet.
I have been using Activia for 3 1/2 weeks with out any relief with my constipation...I've always been a water drinker(8-10 glasses/day) and was hoping the two together would give me softer stool and regularity.
Unfortunately my Irritable bowel Syndrome has flared up after being dormant for several years. I have bloating and mucus stools since using Activia. I'm very disappointed after hearing how good it is for you... Why does it help some people and not others.??
