One night when I was half reading half watching TV, a commercial caught my ear. It said the product would help your digestive system by eating it for as little as two weeks. They backed this up by saying-eat it for 14 days and they would give you up to $12 if you didn't think your digestive system had improved.

The product is Activia, made by Dannon, maker of one of top yogurt lines. I decided to check out the product called Activia online at www.activia.com. Activia contains "Bifidus Regularis," a natural probiotic culture that can helps regulate your digestive system by helping reduce long intestinal transit time." Bifidus Regularis is a ‘friendly' bacteria that's beneficial when eaten. Well, I knew that yogurt was supposed to be good for you any way and I have IBS, so I decided I would give it a try.

I found it a little more expensive than regular yogurt and does not appear to go on sale. Activia comes in a variety of flavors like-vanilla (my favorite), peach, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, mixed berry, and prune. The texture is creamy and smooth. It has more of the vanilla or fruit tastes than that of yogurt.

I have been eating it every day for about a month. I love it. It's a wonderful product that fits right in with my regular diet. I  eat it at lunch or as a snack between meals. I trust Dannon to give me a product I can enjoy.

I don't need anything for irregularity.
I just like yoghurt, but not the large portions that they usually sell.
Activia not only taste delicious (I especially like the vanilla flavor), but it's just the right size and the texture is sooo smooth!
So, I eat it, because I like it.

Ibeckley is right about the yogurt. It also helps my digestive track to not be as slow at it used to be. I have been eating the product for almost a year now. I love the flavors and has tried all but 2 of the flavors which are prune and raspberry because those flavors are not available where I live. The reason that my digestive tract is so slow is because when I was a little girl, I had a ruptured appendix that left built up scar tissue in my digestive tract that keeps building up and causes my digestive tract to not work like it is supposed to.

First, my name is Major Bill Rupp, United States Army (Retired). I am also an ex-private and ex-sergeant. At the age of 64, the effects of Agent Orange, are rapidly talking their toll on me. Just a matter of time..but I would like to stretch out the inevitable as long as possible.

The broadcast ads for "Activia" really grabbed my attention. I have sampled, I believe, all of the flavors...except, perhaps "raspberry". I want to make the following observations/comments/sugesstions:

1. The flavors have been superb...delicious.

2. The blueberry has become my "favorite" because it seems to have a bit more fruit "bits" in it. Those fruit "bits" seem to be tactilely (sp?) satisfying.

3. The "multi-packs", at least, should come with some sort of wooden or plastic spoon with them...to help us consumers eat the entire product...right then, and there.

I am a combat disabled, retired, Army army veteran. Bottom line: I love the product...I love the flavors. Just a few more fruit "pieces" and a "wee" spoon.

And, for all at your company, have an "Honored Memorial Day" weekend.

Sincerely,

Major Bill Rupp, US Army (Retired)

I purchased this for my husband and it did not help him at all. I believed the commercial with Jamie Lee Curtis and took the challenge! When I filled out the refund form I found that I needed to send them a "Challenge code" that was inside the wrapper on the yogurt, but there wasn't one. I emailed Dannon and learned that to take the challenge and get a refund you have to buy the packages that are specially marked as a promotion!

I called Dannon and complained because there is nothing said in the commercial that you have to purchase a special package. I just purchased by flavor and expiration date. I had to escalate my call to a supervisor who claimed that I will get my money back and he gave me a different address to send the receipts to and he assures me I will get a refund. I'm not so sure.

The phone call was not pleasant and I had to really argue to get the refund. They just kept insisting I did not purchase the correct item and to top it off, told me that the promotional package may not even be available in my area! But the commercial is! I had to threaten to report them to the FTC for false advertising if they didn't honor my refund. I will wait and see if I get my money back and if I don't the FTC will get a complaint about them.

Also, there are lawsuits already with Dannon for false advertising as to the product itself.

I have been having problems with constipation for years--when i heard about Activia i decided to try it--I am 87 yrs young and my digestive tract is so much better--I eat one a day and love it--only problem it's so expensive but worth it=do you send coupons for it? thank you, Helen Harbour-

My partner used to complain about a bloated feeling until I switched from regular Yoplait (which I love) to Activia. Now? No more complaints. I agree about it being pricey, but it's worth it, I guess.

I'm still in test on this. Great stuff on taste. Tummy seems happy too.
