Dannon Activia Yogurt —

If you don't have IBS you might not want to try Activia. I have had one little container a day for 4 days and am sick - literally!

Dizziness, nausiousness, throwing up, cramping, rumbling tummy!

I am not eating any more. I have been searching online for side effects and I have found a few people with the same side effects. Not sure why or what is in the product that would cause this but I don't like it at all.

I agree with you, Activia cleanses the body of built up toxins!

I get that too. Plus it alternates I noticed. Watery, soft, hard etc. I also noticed costent pressure in the rectum area all the time. Like it feels like a clogged up drain pipe. It really is annoying and scarring me. I have been eatting this stupid yogurt for 2 months and have been off it for 7 days. I heard it takes 2 weeks to get out of your system. I sure hope that these side effects go away.

Too much yogurt can affect the bladder as well as the bowl. in both good and bad ways. Remember, there are active, living organisms in certain yogurt. An overgrowth of the good bacteria is just as unhealthy as an overgrowth of the bad. Probably a lot more people experience symptoms caused by yogurt and never make the connection. Bladder contractions resembling a UTI can be caused by yogurt if a true UTI is not the problem. I speak from experience.

So, you're trying to eat a product that will fix your stomach, and you get offended when the product kicks out all the crap you have stored in your body?

I have found myself going to the bathroom four and five times a day and having a lot of cramping. What is IN this stuff!?!

Lol, Monludw,
Your review for this product is soo funny ,
I couldn't stop laughing after few lines , especially when you wrote you are still using the product., haha
You have to be some sort of funny comic in real life, very nicely put ..lol

But to answer your Q, I have been using Activia for 4-5 days now and i feel little better and my stomach feels lot smoother after meals., my sister dough , did throw up and felt nauseated after 3-4 packets ,
Yes.., not everyone will respond to this well , just like many products out there ,
But i would give this one B ++ ,, 4 out of 5 stars and it tastes really good *****

I agree with the person above. I, too, ate a container of activia and about an hour later started feeling nauseated and ended up throwing up shortly after. This is the 2nd time I noticed these symptoms and I'm throwing away the remainder and NEVER buying this yogurt again!!!!

althaea-you spelled "to" incorrectly in your cons comments...it should read "side effects TOO much..." but at any rate, I have had wild side effects also...after 2 weeks of Activiia, I awoke one night with cramps and went to the restroom to have a BM. No one would believe what happened! I have never, in 47 years, had such a MASSIVE BM! I don't mean to sound crude, but I pooped like I was urinating....non stop for quite awhile and I could not control it. It started as soft and became softer until it was "sqiurting out!" When it finally stopped, I hopped off the toilet and just had to look...I almost awoke my husband at 2:00 am just to see what I saw as I couldn't believe it! There was so much in the toilet that it looked like a fricking composite volcano! You could not see any water, only an enormous layered up mound of you know what...it almost reached my bare bums (it was less than an inch from my buttocks!) Now I have NEVER seen that much-where it came from I don't know! Are you sure Activita isn't also a colon cleanser? I read that when you have a BM, the product has been in the digestive system for 40-45 hours....but there was more there than could have been made in 4 or 5 weeks...NO LIE!!! Did this happen to anyone else or am I some digestive freak of nature? And I am still eating the Activia because I have to see if this happens again so I can be better sure the causation has to do with Activia....I want to see if it happens again. I haven't had a BM since this happened and that was 2 days ago...and I am having cramps so I think tonight it may happen again and then I will be more sure. But beware and be ready to be fresked out by the amount of BM produced!

I tried Dannon Activia Yogurt because it was recommended to me for a bout of diarrhea. I ate it for ten days and then I had the worst case of vomiting and diarrhea I have ever had in my life. Not sure if the two things are related, just wanted to tell folks 'Beware'...Dan
