I love exploring beaches and snorkeling in reefs in my search for different sea shells and sea life.  Consequently, collecting sea shells have turned from a pleasant past -time into a passion.  —  I was fortunate to be in Dallas recently and had the chance to visit the Dallas World Aquarium. This aquarium was amazing in the size and sheer number of  different species of marine life. It was surprisingly educating, as well as entertaining.  — If you go, don't forget to check out the book store.  It is stocked with a number of… read full review »

About a week ago, during the school break, my son and I visited the Dallas World Aquarium. It was really a very interesting, educational journey, I must admit. We both learned so much about different types of fish and water life in general. My son, most definitely, has got a lot to tell about to his friend afterwards, both at home and school. I'd recommend any parent to consider this visit. It would enlarge your childrens' horizon. Believe… read full review »

The Dallas World Aquarium and Rainforest and Mundo Maya are all in one place.  The rainforest is the most spectacular to me.  You start upstairs in the "canopy" foliage  of the rainforest and slowly walk down to underneath the water.  In the meantime you see the different levels of ecosystems in each.  There are different kinds of monkeys, birds,  crocodiles, stingrays, manatees and all kinds of fish just to name a few.  The aquariaum also features penguins in an outdoor environment and sharks that can be seen from above and underneath a walk thru… read full review »

The Dallas Aquarium was recently renovated and they did an amazing job. When you walk in, the celing is so incredibly high and mimics and safari adventure in my eyes. They added a small bar along the paths, with a sloth on a tree nearby for entertainment. There are TONS of different species of animals, not just fish. There is an entire penguin outdoor exhibit in a neat bridge setting. They even have one of those walk under tunnel aquarium things for a neat picture opportunity. I was dissapointed with their quantity of actual FISH, although they do have several different areas of the world… read full review »

We had some friends visiting from out of town and thought it would be fun to ride the DART train and go to the aquarium. A little on the expensive side for 4 adults and a toddler, so we probably wouldn't head here more than once or twice a year. The exhibits were amazing though. We've never been to an aquarium quite like this one before. You move from one exhibit to the next and they are broken into geographic areas. It's very nice since you basically start 'above water' learning about birds and animals that live in different regions then move to water level then below. My 2-year old son had… read full review »

My toddler loved looking at the the different animals, we did go upstairs to the rainforest which is the coolest thing, I wish they woul've had more hands on learning stations for the kids or something to help them grasp about the nature of the ocean and the animals a little more. There were lots of fish and aquariums to look at, it was about 17 to get in for the aquarium and the rainforest on a saturday, they have a cute little cafe downstairs that isn't too bad. The kids loved but it was something we could only do for 4 or 5 hours not all day like the outings we like. We have a smaller… read full review »

the Dallas World Aquarium is a great place to take the kids. there are all sorts of intresting creatures to see. its not that far, and its not expensive to go see. its convent to I 30 and I 35. located in the heart of Dallas and the West End. You can go and spend the whole day looking at everything they have and the children will love it. you have a wide range of exibits to seee, as well as being in a safari atmosphere.  All teachers will agree that the Aquarium is very educational, and when you are there, your not looking at the exhibit, your actually in the… read full review »

Love to take the kids there every year. Would go there more often if it did not cost so much. I use a coupon every time to cut the costs (help pay for parking). Also, bring your own food/drink to have after the tour (food/drink costs ouch!). You can't take your food/drink in, leave it in the car to have afterwards. — —… read full review »
