This is exactly what an air conditioner should be.  Powerful but quiet.  It takes the heat and humidity from a room in no time.  The air you breathe is cool and fresh.  A welcome change in a steamy room.  I love this air conditioner and I'd buy one for every room if I could.  The best part is the price.  It wasn't very expensive at all.  Next year I intend to get a few more for the other rooms.  I haven't noticed a huge rise in the electric bill, either, so I think it's pretty energy efficient.  One thing it did do was drip a bit on the side of the AC, maybe sweating?  It made my curtains mold. An update to this air conditioner.  It worked most of the summer but near the end it stopped working so well.  In fact, it just sort of worked as a fan for a while, then suddenly quit completely.  Now nothing at all happens when I turn it on.  I got two seasons out of it.  I hope to find someone who can fix it because while it worked it was a great little air conditioner.
