DUAC Topical Gel Care System
(Clindamycin, 1% benzoyl peroxide, 5%)

What is it?
Prescribed by a Doctor DUAC is used to help treat acne and diminish acne breakouts.  The Benzoyl peroxide in DUAC serves as an antibacterial agent.  The Clindamycin serves as a bacteria fighting agent.  Together, they work wonders!

The skin absorbs his medication and can cause diarrhea during use.

DUAC users should be careful while in the sun for prolonged periods of time as it will make them more susceptible to sunburn.

My Viewpoint!
As stated in my previous review about Differin http://www.viewpoints.com/Differin-30gm-x-0-1-gel-review-991b6, my teenage son used to suffer greatly from horrendous acne breakouts and would get very upset over them.

After visiting a Dermatologist and being prescribed a couple of acne medications, his acne has completely gone away.  He is determined to keep it at bay and does not miss one application of his acne creams.

One main factor in his fight against acne was DUAC Topical Gel Skin Care SystemDuac is a 2 step process that my son uses every morning.

The SFC lotion is step one. It's a gentle, soap-free cleanser that my son applies to his face in the morning after his shower.  You simply apply it all over your face and then gently wipe it off.

Step two is applying the DUAC Topical Gel.  You simply apply this to the infected or broke out areas on your face.  Let it dry and you're done.

Duac Topical Gel Care System is the 2nd piece to the puzzle in keeping acne away for my son!

Glad to hear your son is willing to do the skin care regimen. What happens when soccer season rolls around and he can't be exposed to sunlight?

Wow, that's fantastic! I suffered with acne as a teen and I tell you, growing up there was nothing that really worked! I went to a Dermatologist too. I remember having to go to 1 of 2 pharmacy's in big ole' Houston,TX that made special compounds at their location. It was ridiculous. I give my Mom lots of credit for trying. Now my daughter is going through this except her problems started way, way younger than mine did. She's too young for harsh treatments and so far the best thing for her has been the Proactive. I'm going to print your review for future use - hope for my children's sake I wont have to refer back to it. Its hard enough being a kid and dealing with trying to fit in. Kids shouldn't have to worry about their skin too. Great review and I'm so happy that your son has found a winning product!

In response to williampinn's comment from Nov 20, 2008 at 5:37PM:

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that no, it doesn't remove warts.
Sorry. :)~
