Have you ever walked in the door carrying one of those heavy containers of laundry detergent to simply drop it the minute you can? DROPPS Laundry Detergent tries to save you from smashing your toe with their lightweight box of laundry detergent dots. Not only are they delivered to your home after your online purchase (or available at Walmart), but the packages are pre measured so all you have to do is drop them into your washing machine. Mmears says, “Sure is nice not to have to lug detergents home anymore!” This laundry detergent is available in scented and unscented and claims that no fabric softener is needed. It dissolves even in cold water. It is environmentally friendly and contains less packaging than many other detergents. Not every reviewer was thrilled with the drop method of laundry detergent, Bburns said, “I found that I really didn't like it that much and it made me feel as though it didn't really get the clothes clean.” However many reviewers agree with . Msdowhat43 who states, “I am very happy with this product. For me, I tried it various times in various cycles and temperatures.  I found that it really didn't quite disolve fully and it seemed to leave a resedue on some of the clothes.  I found that I really didn't like it that much and it made me feel as though it didn't really get the clothes clean.  Also,... review »

My fiance works in a restaurant and the smell from his work clothes was leeching onto my clothes - it didn't matter if we washed them together or not.  I could smell the scent of restaurant grease on my professional work clothes all day - it was grossing me out!  I tried everything, Arm& Hammer Baking Soda wash, concentrated detergents, fabric softner - nothing would get rid of the smell!

You have to try these!  It's SO easy to bring them home from the store (lightweight, compact).  They are much lighter than lugging a bottle of heavy detergent.  Just pop the pillows in the washer.  Use the same little pillows for any size load.  They'll dissolve in cold water.  The company says that softener is not necessary when you use DROPPS (need I list the "pros" of that?!)  Plus, the company is very environmentally conscious.  I've also bought DROPPS at Walmart.  DROPPS's website states that some Targets carry them, but I haven't found them at mine.  They come in scented and unscented. ... review »

I tried these with a terrific coupon.  The concept really appealed to me - just drop the disolvable packet of detergent in the washer and go.  The reality was that while that was what you do, it comes at a price .  The per load cost is more (if you are normally a careful measurer of dry or liquid detergent) plus the Dropps are lacking the wonderful scent I have come to equate with 'clean' found in so many other brands.  The bottom line though was, I did not feel that it did any better than fair at stain removal and brightening of my laundry and that was what sealed the deal.  I am afraid I... review »

Easy to use.
a comparison shopper, a stainless steel fan, Germophobic, all about 'easy', into trying new things, a multi-tasker, a person who likes things clean, willing to give things a try

Doing laundry is never a "fun" thing to do. But, I enjoy doing laundry when it's quick and easy. This product is a quick alternative to the old pouring the detergent in the cup method. Just like the packs for the dishwasher you just drop it into the washer and your done....well, unless your like me and use fabric softener in just about every load! maybe someday (unless there's something I don't know...lol) someone will come up with a pack of fabric softener to go along with the laundry detergent and dish washer soaps! :)

Dropps.... Fresh Scent??

The reason I bought these laundry Dropps...,I thought they would be handy going on vacation. Small and convienent. However, their claim is to have a Fresh Scent? ? NOT!

IT did get my clothes fairly clean, but I had to give it 2 stars because, I felt the label was misleading. I like a fresh scent, not overpowering, but just fresh.The washing machine smelled of plastic during the wash cycle.... then NO scent whatsoever after taking clothes out of the dryer. I'm back to good 'ol TIDE!!

great product. Use it all the time.  Very easy to use.  Very economical, you can buy it at Walmart, or online.  Just drop it in with the laundry, and that's it.  It's not that expensive either.  You can't beat it.  I am very happy with this product.  I would recommend this product to family and friends.

sounds like a good product but lack the capacity of cleaning cloths. dropps i was expecting for it to "do miricles" but it did not. It is a very convinient product, especially if you have "crazy kids" if you are trying to juggle a busy life, but they should deffinatly work on the cleaning power
