Direct TV has provided great service to us.

Every day computer user, not rich, somewhat tech savvy, computer literate

Direct TV is the only satellite service we've had, but we've had good luck with it.  Customer Service is VERY helpful and VERY nice.  I've never had a bad experience over the telephone with them.  I don't have anything to compare it to, but we have had good reception and program choices since we signed up.  The only time it goes out is about one minute before we get hit with a big storm.  Otherwise, it's great.
